Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

At one point Paul Greengrass was attached to direct Watchmen with a different script, but then the project got stalled. After that I too was hoping they would do it as a fleshed out TV series instead. Still hoping Preacher is given that TV series treatment instead of a feature film.

I enjoyed it, I don't think it was quite 'excellent,' parts of it definitely were great. I didn't exactly care for the new ending, but I can understand it.

...and I hated Man of Steel passionately. And I even liked Sucker Punch a bit.

Watchmen was ok. Dint even finish watching suckerpunch cus it was meh. Mos was great for for a start, but def needs some changes with the upcoming movie(s). Definatly matter of taste etc.. Actually hoping that Affleck will have more to do with dc related stuff in the future then just playing Batman.

Chris O'Donnell holding the same script, posted by Funny Or Die. Guess both (Justin and Chris) will be part of the upcoming skit.

Am I the only person who liked Watchmen? I didn't care for Man Of Steel at all, but I thought Watchmen was excellent.

How could someone not like Watchmen? Well, I will say it didn't have the mass appeal that "known" or "mainstream" superhero movies would have. Most people were probably like "What the f is Watchmen?" But it was an awesome movie... almost 100% true to the comic (except for the ending, which I can forgive because I don't think the giant octopus alien would have worked as well on the big screen.

I loved Man of Steel as well. Could it have been better? Sure. What movie couldn't be polished a little more. I liked it better than Superman Returns (poor Brandon Routh... he did a decent job.) and as much as I liked Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor, that isn't the Luthor I want in a Superman movie.

I think Affleck's suit should have both a Batman symbol and a separate Superman symbol on the chest with a bold VS between them. Then at the point in the film where they decide to put aside their differences Superman can extend his hand to Bats and say something like "We'd make the World's Finest team, Batman -- C'mon, whaddya say?" Batman looks down at the two symbols on his chest and slides the Superman S into the Batman Symbol thus creating the amalgam logo that represents the film. TEAM UP!

And they should skip -- there's not nearly enough skipping in movies these days and damnit, nothing shows the joys of a blossoming friendship more than skipping does.

"Imagine me and Supes, and Supes and me....no matter how they throw the dice it has to be.....the only one to fight crime with, and he with me......so happy together............"

With Zach Snyder this could very well happen.

No, I'll tell you how it would go down in true Zach Snyder fashion...scene begins in sepia IMAX 3D...

Then at the point in the film where they decide to put aside their differences Superman extends his hand to Bats and says "We'd make the World's Finest team, Batman -- C'mon, whaddya say, how about a team-up?" Batman looks down at the two symbols on his chest and slides the Superman S into the Batman Symbol thus creating the amalgam logo that represents the film. Batman slides his hand into Superman's and they stand silent face to face staring into each others eyes(this makes us guys in the audience feel very uncomfortable because we know in real life we would never stare that intently into another mans eyes without it looking really, really, really gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. However somehow because of movie magic it's totally cool and totally not gay.)

Batman lets go of Superman's hand and turns to walk away... Just before Superman begins to turn away Batman Smashes a Kryptonite knuckle into Superman's jaw, followed by a swift kick to Superman's chest sending him flying off the scyscraper they were just standing on. Batman then screams "TEAM-UP?!?! THIS....IS....GOTHAM!!!"

You leave the cinema with your testosterone jacked up to the max but don't quite remember what you just watched because despite enjoying the movie there wasn't any real substance, you learned nothing of the characters, there was absolutely no character development and the whole experience was entirely uninspiring. But it was really fun. :D

It was the floppy blue genitalia, reminiscent of Kevin Bacon in Hollow Man. The unneeded sex scene, and over use of slow motion cinematography is what ruined the movie for me.

Well, fwiw - 2 of the 3 were in the source material. (Arguably, all three is you into consideration Moore/Gibbon's use of panels).

I signed up too but I just got an e-mail today saying that the scene that they were needing the extras for might be scrapped so they won't be needing any extras. But it can't hurt to sign up anyhow in case they decide to go through with the scene, but, as of yesterday anyone who signs up is on the standby list meaning that you won't be called unless someone drops out first.

Goyer's role in this film has me a bit concerned. His recent statements about Superman should be allowed to kill has me feeling he has no real grasp on the character at all - I wasn't fan of Man of Steel or the Nolan Bat-films which Goyer was a part of as well.

While I enjoyed Jumper, Goyer's track record isn't real strong with such gems as the Hasslehoff Nick Fury vehicle, the Blade sequels and a Crow sequel to his credit. (I have heard great thing's about Da Vinci's Demons but haven't watched just yet).

Yep, I wasn't too pleased to read his recent MOS statements either, though I understand why he chose to do that ending. I am hoping he uses that incident as a reminder and threshold for the character, so Superman doesn't go down that path again.
