Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I was thinking that they should have DD looking like he is in the preview, and as he fights, more of the bone shards come out on his body and face so he looks more like the comic version. Maybe have him still "forming" or something.

According to some shady reddit thread I read, that's the case actually. Now I wouldn't bet my hand on it but I read an interview from I don't remember who but someone "important" who worked on the film that spoke of "doomsday's evolution" or something like that... It's pretty clear the starting point is Zod's body, and his cave troll look already has some burgeoning bone extrusions, so I'd say it's a possibility.

This was debunked. Some site quoted another site's interview... the 'other site' finally said "wait, what? - we didn't post this." I'll try to dig up a link.

I can deal with how Doomsday looks. Is what it is. I just don't like how almost everything was slapped in the audience's face like, "this is what you wanted. Here you go." and it's epic because we put epic like stuff and music and stuff. Insulting.

Now, I did say awhile back when this was first announced the death of Superman could be a great way to bring the other heroes together. I don't think they are doing it in a way that something like that would work, but it could have. A World's Finest type film, even with Batman and Superman at odds with each other would work, ending with Superman and Batman against each other until the end where a HUGE villain, that Batman could not over come and was too much for Superman alone. Clark and Bruce realize a little too late how much they needed to work together and became friends upon Superman's "death". After credit scene shows Batman meeting back up with Diana as the world is in trouble. They briefly discuss other "special" person's that could help. End scene, enter JL part one. JL part one would begin with trying to find a way to save Superman etc.

Now this would have worked, had they not already put WW in such a big role it seems, Aquaman wasn't making an appreance or the flash. Should have been just BvS and a brief appearance by Diana (not WW) with the end scene being Bruce talking to Diana about everything to come and saving Superman. That was my idea or hope, but we will see what happens here. Could work, but not how I imagined or hoped.

This is how I wished they would introduce Doomsday... the mysterious traveler...... love this start suit they went with for the comics.

My bad, missed that info. I'm still hoping to see him grow spikes and look a bit more like the comics though !
If he looked exactly like the comics I'd be happy... I still think it was a huge mistake to put him on film now
... but I'd be happier if he looked like the comics.

Is it just me, or did they change the marketing direction of this film from Batman vs. Superman to it being more team-focused? They spent such a long time focusing on a feud, now it just looks like a teammates thing.

Sure seems like it.

They've gone from it being Batman v Superman - to Batman and Superman... BUT, WAIT THERE'S MORE.

What marketing? There's still only the last trailer that shows them combining forces. And of course they were always going to do that. This poster looks good, but fanmade.

It seems like just the sort of thing that comes from corporate brainstorming.
They started with the hook before they even had a story: Batman v Superman.
As the story was being written by committee everyone had input and they tried to accommodate every interesting idea and cram it into a calculated blockbuster.
In a system where entire careers can be built and destroyed on the back of a single film, I can't imagine anyone having the balls to stand up and say this is just too much.

The only formula to Marvel's success is that creative control is in the hands of folks who know and love comics. Period.
The genesis of the MCU violates every basic rule of film production - e.g. the prevailing logic would have been to start with a team film (Avengers) and spin-off the individual movies.

BvS will certainly make money but I don't feel the ground-breaking surprise I should feel in my gut.
Affleck is the only thing this movie has going for it. (I admit I was a hater when he was cast and I'm going to officially eat crow.). Without him the entire film is just MoS 2 - which is not a compliment.

That almost doesn't even look like Henry Cavill.... And those aren't very compelling images IMO. Batman's is probably the best positioned of the 3.

Batman's actually is my least favorite. It just looks to me like his mouth is phototshopped into a pic of a display costume.

Man of Steel 2: Steel Harder. Zod is back... and he's PISSED.

That is the best tag line that this movie could have hoped for. Instead we are going to get this POS. A POS that is going to make a billion dollars and spawn other POS films.

Oh well it will give us something to talk about on here until Episode 8.
