Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

That's why I like it. A car with batwing fins is kinda ridiculous. In some old comics, he has a plain jane sedan.

Did you just say a car with batwing fins is ridiculous? But the idea of a man dresses as a bat who gets called in the middle of the night with a spotlight with a bat on it is not? LOL. I know a lot of people like the dune buggy style and that's cool. I respect that and will not endeavor to try and change anyone's mind. I just am not a big fan of this type of design. I prefer the sleek black design of the '89 the best.

Eh, maybe when I see the movie I will change my mind. Although it didn't happen with the Tumbler. I still loath that car.

Any batmobile that doesn't even allow itself to be called a batmobile deserves to be loathed.

Exactly, the Tumbler was never referred to on film as a Batmobile. Wonder why the shift away from that? I understand the idea of it being more of an "urban assault vehicle" that was repurposed by Bruce, but it still isn't a proper Batmobile, imho.

Wonder if Moebius will get the rights to do models from the film?

Because with the gritty, realistic feel they were going for with the Nolan films, there's NO WAY Bale could have used the term "Batmobile" seriously. It could have only been used as a joke, possibly by Alfred or the Joker in a condescending manner.

I think it looks pretty sweet. Apparently the author forgot about this scene:

Batman may not kill, but he loves to blow **** up!

"Batmobile. Kind of name a kid would come up with... "
Anyway, remember that the Tumbler started as a bat shape.

Batman doesn't need guns.

Keaton´s Batmobile had two cal.30 guns

The old Batmobiles had machine guns, the Tumbler had artillery, and the Batpod had cannons that blew up cars. The screen Batman has always had access to guns. It doesn't guarantee that he uses them to kill people.

I hate Zack Snyder as much as the next guy, but that article is a pretty lame attack.

The new aggressive look is awesome. Comparing side by side it's not much different then the new Arkham Knight version. Batman can always find a use for a weapon/machine gun. He doesn't always need it to kill. Also they could be some type of non-lethal artillery as well. Always an option.

Do we even know they are machine guns? What if they are some kind of Tesla guns? Or even Kryptonite blasters or something? Maybe they are sort of sonic cannons....we won't know until the trailer i suppose.....

From a design standpoint, I see no reasonable or realistic way they could be chain fed machine guns. No ejection ports, no apparent area to store ammo, etc. If they are indeed "machine guns" it appears they have "movie magic" ammo holders.

I'm pretty sure that in one of the 3 Nolan movies Alfred refers to the tumbler as the Batmobile. Possibly in The Dark Knight?
