Hello RPF.

This is my first project, so don't expect it to be over-the-top, I just started with this stuff.

Anyway, I want to make a simple Batman cowl and since I have no foam, I have tried it with cardboard.
I printed out the files, cut the cardboard, made something that looks like a helmet :p ... Now I need your advice on fiberglassing.
I bought the fiberglassing kit, now I'm curious if I fiberglass the whole helmet or only the inside?
What do I do when I'm done? How do I body fill the helm? Can I do the more precise stuff while body filling, because the template for the making was kind of simple.

Here are some pictures of it, I'm open to any comments, critics, ... Based on the stuff that I see people make on here, I believe it could be a lot better. Still, it's a start.

Once you fiberglass, it will become very rigid, so make sure that it can still fit on your head!

A lot of people do it different ways. I like to fiberglass both, starting with the inside. Especially with cardboard, if you don't fiberglass the outside, the bondo tends to be less stable in my opinion.

Thanks for the tips. :)
I'll resize the hole for the head and then fiberglass both sides. I'll post some more photos and I'll probably need some more advice as I am a total beginner to this.

Off to a great start!

The best way to learn is by doing, and it looks like you're on the right track.

Masks and helmets can be a lot easier to size/paint/build/work on if you have some kind of head armature, either a generic one close to your size or a cast of your own head.

Look forward to seeing your progress!
