hi guys
another custom im trying to get done, as you all know ive got 7ft prime on the boards here, but this is another one ive been meaning to get round to doing, based on the arkham asylum batman, it started life as old school batman from the 80's, hes been tranformed to what you see now, all the armour i built from scratch, using styrene, including the bat on his chest,to shape the styrene i used a cigerette lighter to heat the styrene, the spikes were extended, his belt was added to like his belt from arkham, each pocket was made from styrene, the button hole was done via my soldering iron,he was dusted in grey, and a black wash was used to bring out his muscles,i then used some 1200 wet and dry and flatted some back out, eyes came from action man,the black i used for the head and armour was a boat gloss, that shows no brush marks, heres the pics guys, still got a bit to do on his feet and boots, and is cape, but he's getting there,
all the best

That looks great! What are you going to use for the cape?

hi, thanks for the comments, not sure yet on the cape,i finished making and painting the boots this morning, just got to weather them now, so im down to the cape now????? might go for a styrene one, which i will make, and curve it so it looks like its blowing in the wind, or i might go for a cloth type,

hi guys
finished batman, cape was a head scratcher, then i found my rain coat, it now has a big square cut out from the back LOL!!! so the material was nice to use, (could of been worse, i could of used my missus's umbrella!!!) heres the end results, might make a display base for him and a couple of his attachments,

Love The Batman:cool:thumbsup How do you ever find the time for so many projects?!:lol

lol!!! well sometimes im up till late, and to be honest, i cant watch half the crap my missus watches on the box, so it gives me time to catch up on my customs!

hi guys

with prime now done, it was time to finish of this guy!

the main part of batman was complete, so it was a case of finishing his cape to give it the bat shape, i also built his batarang, and made a slot and permantly stuck a screwed up joker card in his other hand, his base started out as one of my weights from my weight set, this was covered on styrene and painted to replect the moon, as batman is a night creature, to give it the cracked look i used 2 paints that reacted to each other, and sealed with varnish, several joker cards were scattered on the ground and epoxyed in place along with dirt and greenary too, the bolts were epoxyed in before i placed the styrene on the bottom of the base, 2 small holes were drill into batmans feet so he could slide on,
hope you like the finished piece guys

i had that toy as a kid!

Amazing that you captured so much detail, it looks really good

thanks Bimmer, i actually had this guy too, i remember losing him, after visiting one of my aunts, after picking him up of ebay, i decided to make him into arkham batman, i really like how the arkham batman has gone back to the dark tone of batman, so i tryed to capture this in my model, also wanted to set the scene with the screwed up joker card in his hands and the cards scattered on the floor, and his batarang, thanks for the kind words

hi guys
couple of little customs ive tried to squeeze in, while i also do my new transformer related project, anyway thought i'd finally finish this guy of proper and do him some justice, i made a fullsize scene for him, a sort of run down broken window, scumbag scene, theres a few nods to other characters, harvey dent/two face, joker and the riddler, hope you like it
all the best

Nice work. I'm kind of surprised you didn't use something with a little more articulation for the base.

thanks mate, well i got hold of the figure from a bootsale, and basically went from there, its more for display, but its size is what done it for me, great to base arkham on,
all the best
