Bandai Y-Wing released 2015

The W:L-ratio problem can be solved easily with the Bandai-kit: just sand (or cut) off 1-2 mm of the wings before you insert and glue them into the engines... done!

Anyhow... I discovered that that W:L-ratio differes between pyro and hero models.
Not only is the Kettenrad-part rotated by 180° with the pyros, it also sits without a gap to the other upperwing-kitparts.
With the hero-models, there is a clearly visible gap, separating the kettenrad-part from the rest.

This clearly shows a pyro beeing built.
Different areas cast separately, Kettenrad-part 180° rotated and attached without a gap to the rest of the kit parts.
Tubes added individually.

So... with the missing gap of the pyro cast, we have our decreased width of the pyro Y-wings...

Nice Picture! Thanks for sharing! What a shame that they put so much work into a model that was only on screen for a few seconds before it was blown up!
