Bad plot holes in good movies...

But if Leeloo thought those were the stones, why did she risk tossing it back to Zorg?

Because she knew that the stones weren't in the case, like how they weren't in the case the last time. It's been a while since I last saw it, but I don't think there was ever a scene where she acknowledged the stones being in the case, just that the Diva had them.

Yeah, I said a few posts above that she must've know that the case was a bomb or a fake, otherwise she wouldn't have thrown the case to Zorg.

Okay... since we're on a Terminator kick- why would the machines make their terminators, big hulking guys that stick out like a sore thumb. I mean, not only are they huge, but I can't imagine that in the post-apocalyptic future of the Terminator movies, food and gyms are in great abundance. They’d be far less conspicuous if they were scrawny, with bad skin and losing their hair.

“Gee, there’s a 6’3” guy with a 60 inch chest… well, he looks just like everyone else, so let’s not notice him.”

I mean, I don’t think they need all the muscle, since they’re just robots underneath.

You know the real story, right...? That originally that was Cameron's concept (a leaner, sleeker Terminator). But Arnie really wanted to be the Terminator, so Cameron changed his direction.

I already mentioned this a few months ago in a STII thread, but what the heck:

Reliant is searching for a lifeless planet for Phase III of the Genesis project.

Meanwhile, Regula I is in orbit...around a lifeless planet. Saavik even says so.

I still want to see Lance Hendrickson as the Terminator as it was originally planned and Arnie as Kyle Reese. Talk about a whole different franchise.

I am still curious to how OJ would of worked out as the Terminator...

Orci/Kurtzman Trek:

Nero was driven mad by the destruction of his homeworld...

He time travels into the past where Romulus still exists...

...and instead of warning his own people about their future (yes, I know he was in a Klingon prison for most of the time, but not all)...

...he focuses his rage not on saving his planet and people, but on making Spock bear witness to the same destruction...

^ This. Always bugged me.

I would think since they performed Stage 2 on that planet and wanted a new lifeless planet for their controlled experiment, instead of "Gee what would happen if we did this to a planet with life?" (Even artificually created)

Stage 2 was deep underground. Stage 3 was on the surface. I don't see the problem. (And I'm a fully qualified 23rd Century terraforming scientist. ;) )

LOL at Arnhuld as Reese in the love scene. I caame back for yoo Sarah!

Up until this very moment I had not thought of this^^

Am I ever glad Arnie wanted to play the Terminator and changed Cameron's mind! :lol

(Can you imagine? I don't even want to picture it! :sick :lol)

In Star Wars, ANH, OBI Wan gives Luke a green Light sabre and says it belonged to his father and that Anakin wanted him to have it. So:

1) At what point did Anakin say to OBI Wan, "Look, can I just give you this light sabre that I made, to pass on to a son that I can't even be sure I will have,(could be a daughter), before I become completely bad ass"?

2) Why is the light sabre green when, in all the six films, Anakin/Vader never uses a green Light sabre?

3) Why in ESB, does Luke have a blue lightsabre? The green one he got from OBI Wan was made by the most gifted Jedi EVER!!! It was also the only thing he had of his father's. So why would he discard it and make his own???

Weird!

The lightsabre in ANH and ESB are in fact, Anakin's light sabre (blue) Luke used it (blue) throughout the movies until he lost it in the final battle between him and Darth Vader when his hand was cut off.

The green one you see in ROTJ was a new lightsabre Luke constructed as part of his Jedi training.

VADER: I see you have constructed a new light saber. Your skills are complete. Indeed you are powerful as the Emperor has foreseen.

After cutting off Anakin's limbs and before leaving him for dead, Obi Wan picked up Anakin's lightsaber, if I recall RotS correctly.

And, yes, building your own lightsaber is one of the final things an apprentice must do before becoming a Jedi Knight. They do so solely using the Force so it's a real test of their control to do it properly.

One I HATE is Jurassic Park III. No, it isn't a great movie to begin with but I went along for the ride until the satellite phone antics.

My memory is a bit muddy but they didn't hear the Spinosaurus or whatever it was, but it had managed to eat one of the people who had the satellite phone. Not only did the phone survive being eaten..it rings nice and loud through a huge dinosaur's stomach and is clearly audible. Not only that..it happens to ring at the exact right time!!! What are the odds?!

Then later..the spinosaur travels upstream of our heroes and drops a dino load. The phone, still in working condition waits along the river edge for the exact right time to ring. Not only does it happen to be in the exact right spot the heroes pass..it also happens to ring at the exact right moment!!!!!! WHAT LUCK!!!!!

I think he got confused by the various color issues in the Special Editions and subsequent releases. Luke's ANH saber has been all over the place.

That's probably the case, as, when he is practicing on the Millenium Falcon, it is DEFINITELY green, but as you say, they seem to change the colours a lot.

What I meant was, when Doc comes back from the future with the Flying Delorean and grabs Marty and Jennifer. Why the rush?

Marty and Jennifer are about to go take a drive. That is the trip in which Marty races Needles and hits the Rolls Royce, landing him in the Hospital. If they don't go right then, Doc will have to wait until Marty is fully recovered (and with a bad hand) to try to impersonate his son, and he probably won't be as good of a match any more.
