Back to the Future

Bravo Emma ! Nice work ! Especially on the bulldog's face. Just a few extra lines that should be deleted (the image you took has some extra drawings on it that should not have been taken into consideration) :

Thanks :) It is indeed, really hard to see, do you want me to we work it on illustrator for these bits? :)

Hi guys,

who of you graphic artists would be able to check my "Back To The Future" logo font and give me feedback?

File-Upload.net - Marty-Font.zip

I wanted to create such a font since many years, because I was tired using (handdrawn?) fonts like Outatime or BacktotheFuture2002 to create my own logo.
My Marty font is based on the Back To The Future logo but far from being perfect, with a software like CorelDraw you can stretch it like in the BTTF logo design.

Thanks for your feedback and critics.

Dietrich

Your font is awesome by the way, I saved it :p Thank you!

Thanks Emma, but it's not finished yet. Attached is the movie logo done with CorelDraw from the third part. As I mentioned before it's not perfect yet, but a good start.

For almost one month now, I've been looking for very tiny details and made lots of investigation to find real stuff used in the trilogy (thar's the interesting part and why I'm here today) Among that are many items from several places (Cafe 80, Lou's Cafe, McFly's house...). The topic is called "Detail of the day" and I've been able to uncover exclusive details each day since january 28th !

Patrick- Wow! I registered and went through that thread, and I'm amazed how you're able to take the smallest, bluriest pic of a background picture, book or magazine (or even the faded corner of a magazine), and find out exactly which brand, title and date of issue it is. Do you have inside behind-the-scenes knowledge of the props? If not, you have some of the most extraordinary prop research abilities I've seen. Do you do other movies as well?

Thank you for your compliments :)

Yes, it's been a really interesting work to make these inquiries (call me Sherlock :D). I've been able to find all this stuff just by looking closely to the images of the movies (and incidentally, many hours in front of Google Image and eBay, my main sources). I would post the image I used for reference if I had access to other behind the scene pictures.

And I don't do other movies. It's just that I've been a very big fan of BTTF for more than 15 years now, and I keep on trying to improve my knowledge by doing these researches.

I was holding my breath the whole time. I didnt think doc would do it in time. That was really well done. Can you buy that whole scene?

Found it. I used the search bar up top then clicked on the paperclip icon and it had all the files people uploaded. Went through and there are 2 files. It looks like a screen shot but its full hd so I can work with that. I just found something new on this site haha

Here comes my next free download. If you have a Slamball bat like Griff's in BTTF2, but it has an inaccurate logo sticker, or if you want to buy a bat or build it yourself, then my following file is perfect for you: the "Kirk Gibson JR. Slugger 2000" logo sticker in original size (7.5 inches). You can download an international A4 version or an US-Letter version. How to use my file? You need a printer that is able to print the logo in silver reflecting or white color on a transparent waterslide decal. Or you can use a cutting plotter for cutting the logo out of a silver or white vinyl sheet (that's what I do because it's more accurate).

A small sidenote: while researching good pictures of the logo I found out, there are at least six different bats with slightly different logos ("Kirk Gibson" signature in different sizes, different positions of the "Slugger 2000." line). My vector file is a logo replica of the expanding hero bat as seen in the Cafe 80s.

And here are the PDF files:

US-Letter version: Griffs_Slamball_Bat_Logo_remade_by_Roland_Zubcic_US-Letter.pdf
A4 version: Griffs_Slamball_Bat_Logo_remade_by_Roland_Zubcic_A4.pdf

A colored preview (that's how it could look attached on a bat):

Last but not least: self-adhesive vinyl, cut with a cutting plotter. :)

for the sake of not going through this page by page AGAIN, does anyone have the dimensions of the pad of paper from Lou's Cafe. I have the letterhead and logo I just can't find the dimensions again after I had come across them here.

The letter is smaller than standard US-Letter size. It's US-Executive 7 1/4 x 10 1/2 inches (18.415 x 26.67 cm). And the envelope has US-Monarch size 7 1/2 x 3 7/8 inches (19.05 x 9.8425 cm).

Here is my post with the screen accurate letter and envelope if you need it: http://www.therpf.com/f40/back-future-67267-post3161388/#post3161388
