Not sure if this is any help to you, but I just measured some things in my cupboards in and the 500g tub of Bisto granules (link) is about 17cm high and the lid is 9cm diameter. It's a cardboard tube so it would cut down to 10cm easily enough.
No, you have to cut down to 14 cm, if you want to be screen accurate. The diameter is 10 cm.

I'd like to bring up Rolands discussion again about the "source book" under the dustjacket of "A Match Made In Space". Anybody has an idea which book was actually used, or which book has the same dimentions and colors?

It reminds me of the binding on the old Funk and Wagnall's encyclopedias, although it looks thicker than that, more like a dictionary.
I don't really know books, but it just reminds me of an encyclopedia/reference kind of book. Probably way off, but just a thought!

I just noticed my 8.25oz Planters Select can on my desk and it is 10cm in diameter and 7cm high...so stack two of them on top of each and and glue em together....hmmm..just need a red top instead of blue.

Just printed Rolands "You're Fired" files on to continuous print paper! These look great and add a certain feel of authenticity to them that the regular print paper just doesn't. I have extra paper if anyone needs any.

I have another advice for an authentic look of that fax. Print my A3 file on an A3 or US-Tabloid sheet and trim it to US-Letter with a metal ruler and a perforating cutter like this one:

Found this can on a local shop and it's close enough - 14,5 X 10 cm!! What do you think Roland? For half a cm, it's better than the other, right?

I like both to be honest
It's 1 cm bigger than the screen used can, but it still looks great. I think no one will ever notice that 1 cm. Great work and definitely better than the first can!
