Back to the Future

Do you mean the donation label or the "Finetti" label? The "Finetti" label isn't glued, it's directly printed onto the metal surface of the can, so there's nothing you need to remove. But I recommend that you don't use a too thin paper sheet. I use 120 g/m² paper to ensure that the printed image of the can doesn't shine through.

Oh, thought it is a paper label and glues on...

it was a paper label on the cheese tins and was a pain in the butt to remove it...

I think a quick painting with white spraypaint would do...

"For" is red, The big arrow is green, and "Daisy air rifles" is red on purple. :cool

Yes, I know. That's on the original one. But I would know if his copy is from the original cover or from Jedifyve's version, which has the wrong colors on the backside. ;)

If you use 120 g/m² paper for the donation label, you don't need to paint anything. :)

Are you accusing me of something?

Excuse me,
Mine is a scan from the front of the prop and was cleaned up by me and a friend and has nothing to do with anybody else's work, look at my posts, I don't need to use anybody else's work thank you very much, I work from scans and from scratch.

It was just a question... I dont know where all the files come from...

I don't remember where my file was from, but I deleted it from the free paper prop section I believe...

Jedifyve's work is (as far as I know) availabe as a PDF file, thanks to our french friend Merlin... :angry

Jedifyve never confirms , that this file is his work, but it was the complete magazine, so I guess so...

There are different files available, and I really can't remember who's done these files, so, sorry if there was a misunderstanding... I don't accuse anyone, sometimes it's only hard to keep the overvief of the files..

Are you accusing me of something?

Of course no accusation. It was just a question. As Onkelpsycho said: You can never be sure, where a file comes from.

Thanks for clarifying that. That's all I wanted to know. Please, don't be angry with me for that. And I think, it's also in your own interest if people know that you're not a recaster. :)

As long as it's nobody else's work and I'm allowed to use it, it's nobody's business where I got it from.
"Of course no accusation"?
Onkelpsycho openly said "I think it's the same file I gave away for free years ago"
and you openly asked questions to see if I'd stolen someone's artwork.
If you behaved like that in real life you would not get away with it.

I've never even sold props on here,
I'm an artist in my own right and have no need to STEAL.
Even if I was a scum of the earth re-caster I'd hardly be talking about it on this board in the 'Back to the Future' thread....would I?
I'm a lot of things but an idiot isn't one of them.
It would have been nice to get a PM asking instead of it being discussed on here, After all I only made a comment and havn't actually offered anything for sale at all.
If I do have a run of these manufactured I won't bother offering them to the people here that you can be sure of.
In future why not look at other threads posted by a member first?
Feel free to check mine, my artwork speaks for itsself is well up to scratch for selling should I wish to, I have no motive for THEFT.
Nor do I like being asked 'trick' questions to see If I'm guilty of anything, I'm 40 years old and not a child.
If someone made comments like these in the real world I'd take legal advice.

What? I didn't know he did that.

I THINK I may have the file you made on my computer. It's like the one floating all over eBay, basically not that sharp details. That's the best once I can find thus far.

Dude, calm down. No body accused you of anything.

Okay, I have understood. It seems to me, that you're the type of man who runs to his lawyer with every small matter, and that it's best not to tangle with you.

Not at all, I only take offence when I'm unjustly accused of something without any proof, reason or motive.

I can't speak for Onkelpsycho, but for myself: I didn't accuse you, I just had a suspicion. I already gave you the reason: too many recasted "Tales From Space" files out there, so one has to be very careful. But you have refuted my suspicions and there's no reason for any offence (there WAS never a reason).

Peace? :)

:lol
Must be the fact that it's Friday the 13th...
People are getting touchy about nothing today :lol

I pointed out that a guy made a mistake this morning when he said James Cameron directed the new Spidy movie and he told me to go **** myself :lol

Strange day indeed :)

Uhm... I just asked if thats another file, I don't accuse anyone. As I said: I can't remember all of you and in what projects you're involved. If my question sounds like I accuse someone, sorry...

Ok?

:lol

What? I didn't know he did that.

I don't know. It looks to me like it is the same file. But I can imagine that he does it... As I said, Brad never confirmed that the PDF is made from his comic and he doesn't know if he ever sold a comic to merlin...

I THINK I may have the file you made on my computer. It's like the one floating all over eBay, basically not that sharp details. That's the best once I can find thus far.

Could be, it was a pretty good file in high res. I posted it in the free paper prop section with no idea where it was from... Then a few days later this cover pops up on ebay so I deleted the file, because i was not sure about the origin and if the original creator was ok with it, to make it available.

If someone finds a correct can in Belgium, please let it know! The Finetti Sticks are impossible to find here, it seems, although Belgium is right besides Germany...

Hey Moat ;-) i dont live far away of your country.
By supermarkets you have those cans also in different sizes.

Ore the Pringles cans you can find him by Gas stations.

Yep, we'll have these over here, but I'd love to find a correct sized can with a red lid...

As for the Tales from Space comic:

1. I have the correct Red Ryder Gun ad: scanned directly from the comic it appears in by someone who owns that comic and was kind enough to make me a scan and send it to me (took me a few days / weeks to trace the correct comic, and to find someone who owns it). I have also sent this file to Roland so he can use in when he would ever do the Tales from Space comic.

2. I also have Jedyfive's version of the comic (with a non-accurate ryder ad). If you scan the front at high res, the quality won't be better than the pictures / scans from the Profiles Auction. So the pictures / scans fro the Profiles auction is the best source for the front, unless you have the artwork directly from Andrew Probert himself. I have A LOT of versions in PDF and JPG from this comic (probably all files that are floating around on the net) but the Profiles pictures are the best. So no reason to argue about where someone gets his images from: the best source is freely available on the Profiles Site:

OK, it needs some cleenup, but it's much better quality than any other source I have (even a high-res scan of Jedyfive's copy I have). With a bit of patience and some photoship skills you can make a great front cover out of this...

I started with recreating the comic myself, but due to lack of time, and the fact that Roland would probably do a better job than me, I didn't continue with this.

I would use Jedifyve's cover (only the main artwork, not the letters, which I would redraw as vector graphic), but I don't think, that Brad would give me his permission, because he knows that I give all my work out for free to everyone. :lol
