Back to the Future

Nice work cmdr.kerner thank you

No problem, you're welcome.

nice find . thanks

You're welcome

Awesome. It looks good and I agree the images are hard to make out. It almost looks like the word "Realty" is the same font as the Flor Sale, but it is so hard to tell for sure. There might be too much space around all the words and the edge of the white border and the word realty looks too close to the Biff Co logo. This is definitely one of those that needs built directly on top of the screen shot to nail down the spacing. Too bad there isn't a better image for reference.

Thanks Rich, tomorrow I'll take a closer look and see what I can do.

Roland needs to make these. He will nail the spacing, angles, size and correct fonts. (Hint hint ;) )

Calling me? :D Okay, here is my attempt! ;)

This sign is as huge as a poster. If I'm not mistaken, it's 2'8" wide and 2' high (32" x 24").

Here is the PDF file: BiffCo_Realty_For_Sale_sign_remade_by_Roland_Zubcic.pdf

And a preview picture:

By the way, here is a better screen cap of the real sign:

I'm in the finishing stages of my scratch-built Plutonium box and as we all know the box was a Anvil box with a lot of stickers on.
and it has this logo on it :

As the reporter tells us that the box been stolen from "the Pacific Nuclear Research Facility"
I imagine it like a round logo that has something like these reactors inside it in
small-nuclear-reactor-mini-off-grid-us-supplier_1.jpg

So i made this up in Photoshop and gonna print it on a laserprinter and stick it behind a piece of plexiglass with rivets onto my box.

So I have a stupid question regarding the various back to the future newspapers. I have seen different threads and different topics and information about the various papers and I am kinda confused. I am just curious is it possible to still make these papers or not really? I know that I have always wanted to have the versions of the "Gang Jailed" and "Youth Jailed" as well as the "Brown Committed and Commended" etc.
I was able to get the Youth jailed from the special edition USA Today last year but I know they are not the real accurate size, I also saw a thread saying that due to certain copyrights or something that no one can make the old hill valley telegraph versions... unless I read it wrong?...
My last question is, I have looked into trying to buy old blank newspaper to print on but having hard time finding it and I have also heard that you can only make these using an actual newspaper printer?...
I know that is alot of questions, I just want to make sure that this will be something I can do or will have to wait on? I am really just confused with all the information that I am reading and want to make sure I am reading it right.
Thanks in advance for any answers anyone can clear up for me.

I can give you some names of people to contact, so PM on the way :thumbsup

Roland Do happen to have been able to read what ever was handwritten on the Radioactive stickers that is on the plutonium box.
I can see that it says AB in the "transport index" and on the "activity" it says "12" (could be for the 12 canisters of plutonium) and the rest of the text looks like numbers as well... Could be a 3 and something more. (could be the size of the plutonium canisters , believe they are 3"x6")
The "contents" is not readable as well.

Yes. I have made all of them, almost 100% screen accurate, except the USA Today papers.
I also provided all of the Hill Valley newspapers that were given out at 'We're Going Back' 2015.
:cool
So it is definitely still possible.

It's the USA Today papers that have the copyright issue. It's still a real newspaper published by Gannett Co, so no US based printers would be able to make them. Even the props had to be printed by Gannett for the movie. Since the Hill Valley Telegraph is a fictional newspaper I had no problems getting custom replicas of those printed by a real newspaper printing company.

My last question is, I have looked into trying to buy old blank newspaper to print on but having hard time finding it and I have also heard that you can only make these using an actual newspaper printer?...

You can try printing on newsprint paper. I don't know if you can easily print it at the correct size with any home printer. The papers in the movie were broadsheets, so they are somewhat on the larger side. Newsprint can take some work to get right using a home printer. You don't need to get older paper for the correct look, because after printing, you can put it out in direct sunlight for a few days or a week and it will age more realistically like the ones in the movie. That's the same way they did it.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
