Back To The Future 1955 Skateboard Build

Just finished my replica build of the 1955 skateboard used in BTTF Part I. Pretty simple build- had to source a set of 1950’s roller skates to match the screen used board and gave them a little freshen up! But other than that- just used a pine board, and aged it with a dremel to take some chunks out the sides so it didn’t look too new. Done a quick test fit of the blocks and wheels underneath, then stripped back down and added some stain. Pretty pleased with the final result!!

Firstly, this turned out great! One of the best on the internet for sure, so congratulations! I have been researching how to make one of these myself for about the last week, so this is a real help :) . I was wondering if you could please give me the dimensions? Also, please can you tell me the thickness of the wood you used? As I would like to make one that is strong enough to actually skate with (I intend to use some old penny board trucks instead of the roller skates). I don't plan on doing any tricks or anything like that, I just normally cruise around on my boards. I weigh about 180 pounds, so how thick do you think that I should make it? I hope that pine board is strong enough, as plywood is meant to be stronger than pine board and the preferred material for making boards with. However I don't know if it is possible to achieve the same natural 'distressed' and 'weathered' look that the pine board processes (meaning, I don't know if the wood stain and my dremel would give the same effect on plywood). Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this will be my first ever build! Thank you very much indeed! :)
