Back to Neverland - Robin Williams

Hey guys, well, I kinda want to have some sort of Robin Williams memorial/Disney display... And there's this one short movie I absolutely loooove, called Back to Neverland.
I just love the outfit and objects that RW is having in this video and it is also a nice way to combine the short movie with my favourite Disney movie (Aladdin). Yup, the genie is wearing the same outfit as RW XD!

But I need your help on finding a few items... Especially the sort of Mickey Mouse notebook, the camera and the Hawaiian shirt... I believe the plush he's holding is Thumper too...

I couldn't find any red glasses though, I managed to get a pair of blue glasses though! Anyway, here are the pictures, for a better idea of what I'm looking after :)

The blue glasses I found:

I believe the right goofy hat is this one:

I wonder what the watch is too:

And if you have not seen the short, it's there >

Thanks ^^

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA :lol
I knew when you posted the WTB thread for the Goofy hat, that this MUST be what you were looking to make. ;)

FYI: Do a search on ebay for Back to Neverland Animation drawing. There are usually a few every week and they don't sell for much. A great piece of animation history. The prices have gone up a little since RW has passed, but still not bad.

I think I found it, it's a Brownie Hawkeye camera with a molded Bakelite body and viewfinder :p

Edit: Yup Moviefreak! haha :p Onto the notebook now xD

So funny, I have both the camera and Thumper randomly! The camera was my Mom's and Thumper was mine from when I was a kid, from Disneyland.

Hahaha that's awesome! I remember going to Disneyland in 1995 I believe, all I had was toy story toys at the time :p
I don't think Back to Neverland was on screen in the one in Paris :x

Whoa... I have never heard of Back to Neverland before, I will have to check that out.

BUT, in the summer of 2011, I had the extremely fun experience of playing the Genie in a production of Disney's Aladdin Jr., and I went full-on 'Robin Williams' for it.

Our costumes were the work of a dear friend of mine, and she did a fantastic job on such a limited budget, hand-making almost every item worn in the show.

Yet I had a couple of specific ideas I wanted to reference from the movie, and one of them was the 'vacation' outfit from the end.

I ordered a Goofy hat and a yellow Hawaiian shirt off eBay, and wore them solely for the curtain call of the show.

Now, though, after looking over your thread, I realize that I accidentally bought the same kind of Goofy hat that Robin actually wore in this other program!

On the one hand, that's a cool coincidence.

On the other hand... although I still own that Goofy hat, it is sadly now discolored by blue makeup on the inside!

[I did buy a second one right after that show, just to have a pristine Goofy hat as a memento, but it was a slightly different design, and doesn't match the one in the photo above or the one Robin is wearing in your pics.]

Alex

P.S.
Your third photo of Robin (with Walter Cronkite) is flipped mirror image.

@DocNewborn Haha yes you're right, the image was flipped, I just found it off the Internet!

That is really cool, do you have any videos of your performance? I am curious about it!

Also, the outfit for the Genie was actually inspired by the outfit that Robin wear for Back to Neverland, as it was a few years before the release of Aladdin. That is why =)

And thanks Moviefreak, I still need to get the camera and the Thumper, I don't think I will ever find the notebook to be fair ^^ I am also curious about the watch, but it could be anything haha!

Well, since you asked, here are some of the clips I uploaded from that show:

And one the director shot as an audition reel for James, who wanted to try to get a job at the Disney Parks as a walk-around Aladdin.

~~~
You may want to limit your search for the notebook to "autograph book", since he's getting Mickey's autograph when Walter Cronkite first calls him over.
(Yes, I watched the special last night. Very cool. Walter Cronkite gave a definite Walt Disney vibe as the host.)
Not sure how much that will help, there's still thousands of pics on google to search for.
I also like Robin's 80's tube socks when they show him from head to toe.
I was interning at Feature Animation in Florida back in 1994 and I must have gone on that tour during my breaks to watch the film, well over 1,000 times that spring :lol
I was saddened when I came back to work at the Florida Feature Animation Studio a few years later only to see them remove the film when they revamped the tour.
Where did they show it? I think I remember seeing it in 97 in the theater that they do the d23 show in now. I can't remember exactly.
It was on the Art of Animation tour. The one that exited into the Animation Gallery Gift shop. You would go in to the film, then after it was over you would walk through "the fish bowl" where you would see the animators working.
Last I was in there they were still drawing Mushu. Needs to be updated.
