So I just painted my iron man helmet with duplicolor dark cherry matallic. I did all the prep, three coats of primer, and sanding between each. But the duplicolor finish is horrid. I was expecting a glossy finish, but this is uneven and nearly matte most places. I've never had this kind of issue with Rustoleum before. I used Rustoleum Metallic on the faceplate and it was flawless, but I'm just horrified at how this has turned out. Anyone have any tips. Can I buff it out because it is laquer? Do I need to strip it all off and use a different paint? Humidity is 60% outside, a typically summer indiana day, but maybe that did it. Help!
