AVP 2 news...

definately...they just dont look as tall when they are so bulky...

What about the Aliens? Any word on if they're going to re-do those crappy designs? Between the velociraptor-looking warriors and the Queen that was as big, and moved like a T-Rex, I thought I was watching Predators VS. Jurrasic Park!

I would much rather see Alien 1 or 2 style Aliens than the CG things they've used in Resurrection and AVP. They were too skinny, too slimey and too un-human. That's what made the original Alien and the Alien 2 bugs so creepy.... they were a little TOO human, which made sense, considering the Alien uses DNA from the host. The AVP Aliens look like they were hosted by turkey-vultures!

i figure they use host DNA but retain some as well...thats why those other aliens looked the way they did... residual DNA from the SPACE JOCKEY...

when are they gonna include that race in the AVP series... they created/used the aliens as weapons or at least transported/sold the aliens.

i also heard a rumor that they develop Yautja technology that allows the preds to go on their intergalactic Hunting expeditions...

From Alien Experience:
There has been a lot of fan speculation surrounding whether Ian Whyte, the man who replaced Kevin Peter Hall as the Predator, will be back for another round in Alien vs. Predator 2. And as such, I've been keeping my ear to the ground for any news on that front. Well, after talking to some people who are in the know, I've been told Whyte will in fact be back, dressed in the best Predator design since the original. Remember the story we broke a while back reporting on the Predator costume redesign? Seems like we were right on the mark.

I'm also assured that the Predator designs will not look anything like Anderson's 'short and fat' Predators from the original AVP. I can hear Predator fans breathing a collective sigh of relief.

Also, with Amalgamated Dynamics back, Tom Woodruff will once again be suiting up as the lead Alien, which I understand have also had their designs reworked. Tom has played this role since Fincher's problem-plagued Alien 3 in 1992, including as Grid in the first AVP film.

So, once again, Whyte and Woodruff will battle to the death. And if memory serves me, it's Whyte 1, Woodruff 0. Sounds like a score to settle to me. Either way, good news for fans of both franchises.

This report just has me excited now. I don't really care about the setting, or characters now, I just want to see these new costumes in action...

wish me luck guys
i'm hoping to work on the set as a PA cuz it's not that far from where i live!
