Avengers Trailer

Got my advance screening tix for San Diego this Saturday, woohoo!!! Gonna get there 4 hours early to make sure I don't get squeezed out by overbooking.

I promise I won't post any spoilers, just a thumbs up, thumbs down, or BIG THUMBS UP ;)

Yes please dear lord no spoilers just a thumbs up or down. I'll be there at a midnite premiere. Even took 2 vacation days just for the occasion.

Anyone else notice this about the poster?

HEY!!!...I recognize you from your Youtube channel....So this is why it's taken so long time between your video updates. Did not know you were a RPF member. Welcome
Heh, thanks. Yes, it's the fault of the RPF forum sucking me into it's creative maw that I haven't been making hacky YouTube videos.

Damn you, endlessly interesting forum threads!

Early reviews after yesterday's premiere are trickling in...

Let's just say it's trending (y)thumbsup And yes, there is an after-credits scene!

Avengers are go can not wait to see this and yes Cap should of had wings and Hulk looks great....finally

"Absolutely loved THE AVENGERS. Was smiling from beginning to end. If you’re a Marvel fan you’re going to lose your **** in the theater… Also, the two things that made THE AVENGERS amazing: the Hulk and the humor. Joss Whedon gets a 10 out of 10 on both of those."

"“THE AVENGERS. Finally, a Marvel film with a rousing finish. That third act is more than enough to make THE AVENGERS the best Marvel movie yet."

"The Avengers is pretty epic. There is probably more action in this film’s climax than all the other Marvel movie combines!…"

"The Avengers - Epic. EPIC! Everyone fights everyone, but it does deliver."

"Not a false note. Innovative. BRUTAL. And ******* funny. Hype = believe it. Avengers… It’s the bomb. I could not possibly say enough."

Spoiler-free review after the SD screening this past Saturday.

Witty, well acted, very well paced, and some mind-blowing action, particularly the final battle scene. Simply put, BY FAR the best in the MCU, and a slight edge over TDK IMHO as best CBM. TDK was a more polished film overall as I loved it as a crime drama more so than a CBM, but I'd watch Avengers 10x more often as it's THAT much more entertaining. Avengers = comic book pr0n on silver screen, best way to describe it. I haven't had that much fun in a movie since perhaps the original Star Wars trilogy, absolutely no comparison to the first Transformers in terms of popcorn fun.

For reference on my taste, my new order of preference for the MCU - Avengers (by long shot), IM (good stretch over the remaining films), then Thor, TFA, Hulk, and at the very bottom of the barrel IM2.

My gf who is a not a comic book geek by any stretch also loved it and wants to see it again (we have tix for El Capitan May 3 midnight screening), and she NEVER wants to see any movie twice, even her own favorites. She drove with me from LA to SD to get in line at 6am, waited with me for 4 hours in 50+ degree weather (that's freezing for her lol), and she still loved it... that speaks volumes for a casual viewer.
