Avengers new costumes revealed in teaser poster

I thought the toy version looked bad, but the new Iron Man suit in the poster looks great.

It is weird that he went back to a circle reactor. It brings up that problem you have in film where it's harder to mash universes up and leave behind what has happened in each individual character's universe, since film is so tangible. In comics characters can hop around and do whatever they want, but you don't put as much stake into those side adventures.

I really like both the Cap and IM costumes. I think the IM has a sleeker looking chest and midsection then it did before with that I think looks really good. The new Cap costume goes beyond my expectations as far as awesome new Avengers look.

I'm hoping we'll see a better look at the new Thor suit. Looks like a cross between his movie costume and the Ultimates. I'm also hoping for Hawkeye soon. My son wants a Hawkeye costume badly and we're waiting to see what the movie costume will look like before we start work on it.

Very cool to see some legitimate stuff coming to light, I've seen lots of stuff that has Cap, IM, and Thor on it with Avenger's logo's running across the top, but I suspected that most of it was either fan-made or boot-legged, and now I can most honestly say that there has been seen similar mechandise floating around since Thor came out. I like the slightly updated Cap the most, very subtle, but it takes a step closer to the comics with a more stream-lined approach and less straps. I think IM looks a little meh, Tony's a flashy guy, I think having some dull grey pieces in there detracts from that a bit, but I know I'm gonna be in line to see this movie when it comes out anyway, lol, now I just hope that Marvel brings some of this stuff to New York in October, please Marvel, pretty please, for a faithful reader and stock owner?

REALLY wished they'd have given Hawkeye his mask...Hell they could have even had the mask be part of his equipment...with the mask tips being full of sensors or infared or something...and his suit could have been more old school colors...darker of course...just aint much into the look in the poster...looks so much like green arrow off smallville. Oh well. I did hear that in a quick scene seen at the end of Captain America movie we do see Thor with a suit where his arms are bare..but we'll see.

Judging from the pics available at the moment, it looks like they're using the basic helmet from First Avenger and making the brown leather portions blue and extending the neck's coverage.

That Cap suit looks great. And I prefer Iron Man to have a circular chest light. The other one is too close to Superman's logo.

You know, a thought I had is that the arc reactor actually in his chest could still be triangular but the armor could have a circular light.

nothing has been confirmed yet on what suit they are using. For all we know there could be 5 different suits

Exactly. If you look back at the two IM films, basically, every scene he suits up in he has a new suit of armor. It's possible they do the same thing in Avengers.

Looks like there are a few subtle differences too. It seems like the back of the helmet doesn't flair out as much as TFA helmet and the seams don't go all the way to his eyes.
