Avatar the Last Airbender (Nickelodeon) Aang Glider construction?

Hey guys, I need help working out the construction of a glider for Avatar Aang. My specialty is sewing and wigs/props but I don't usually do wood work. I will need the glider to have a spring-mechanism ideally for the wings to pop out. Any ideas would greatly help, I would also be willing to commission someone to make it if they would be willing to.
