Hello all,
I have 5 questions about this "Boomerang" Phaser:

QUESTIONS:
(1) Is this a replica Boomerang phaser, or an authentic prop made by Paramount and used during the filming of Star Trek Voyager?
(2) What features allow you to determine if it is a replica or authentic piece?
(3) Who may have built this?
(4) What is the approximate age of the item?
(5) What is the approximate value?

Approximate dimensions

Overall Length: 20 cm (tip to tail)
Overall Width: 5 cm (at widest point)
Overall Height: 3.7 cm (at widest point)
Weight: 6.8 oz

Notes:
No electronics.
Trigger button is depressible, the two smaller buttons are not.
The "power meter" is recessed into the body of the piece.
There is a felt-lined holster with metal clips.
Frontal and side X-ray views provided.

Thanks!

Matches my screenused boomerang. Mine has a screw down the emitter to attach it to the body but everything else looks correct

There are (7) different variations of the blue graphic underneath the barrel. That way, it could be determined when that particular phaser was made.

DS9 ended in 1999 and Voyager in 2001, two different patterns were used.
I was told by the guy who built them they were the same for the last seasons of both shows. Mainly because once DS9 ended, their props became Voyager's. No need to make any more of those.
