Well, I had previously made one of these within a week of the leak/reveal of AC3 and Connor, since I loved the design, and a friend was planning on doing a costume of Connor.
You can see my v1 here:
Connor Tomahawk
Since then, I had someone contact me regarding making one of these on commission, and I was more than happy to do so!
I had planned on making a mould of it for myself before shipping it off, but being the dunce that I am, I had completely forgotten it was the Diamond Jubilee, and as such post had stopped, so whilst I have some silicone on its way to me, it won't come in time to make a mould and get this shipped out to meet the customers deadline
Luckily though, I know I have to make this at least one more time, so I'll mould it up next time =]
It's made of sintra of varying thicknesses (I think there's 3, 5 and 7mm in it), with suede straps, leather grip & thonging, wooden beads and marabou feathers.
Took me about two weeks in total to get it made, working for a few hours a day (during what we in blighty consider a heatwave, which resulted in my being able to add something new to my list of prop building related injuries - sunburn, really ought to invest in a cheap gazebo for outside, heh).
But anyway, here's the photos of the finished piece, along with a few shots of me holding it to give an idea of scale.
