Hey folks!

Anyone who came to my Xmas party last year knows what Artemis is, for those who don't it's a six player starship bridge simulator and... It's awesome!

Here's a pic of us playing at the party:

I know a bunch of us wanted to play it again so I'm throwing an Artemis party! A full day of nerdy fun for anyone who would like to come. You can come to play, you can come to watch, you can come just for the food, doesn't matter!

What we played in December is just the entry level. There are full missions available as well as Star Trek themed mods that let you pilot the Enterprise and battle Klingons & Romulans.

I'd like to try for a Saturday in March. I'm not even sure what my schedule is yet so let me know what works for you and we'll try to make this happen! If it's a success I would love to do this every couple of months.

Also, we can get much more involved. Tonight or tomorrow I'll post some links to tips for each of the positions. It would be awesome if we could all have a speciality.

After doing some research engineering is far more involved than we originally thought. I think after a few games we'll really lock down a good system.

Yeah when Gerry had it going, it looked pretty intimidating especially monitoring the shields status.

The key is to be in tune with everybody else. When we need to move around it's power to maneuverability. When we're ready to go to warp power to warp. Forward shields, rear shields, beam weapons, torpedoes, sensors, etc.

Yes, there was a lot to the engineering station. It was tough trying to allocate power to the right areas at precisely the right time. But it was fun!

I don't know my son's playoff schedule yet but so far the only Saturday that's completely out is the 9th for Comic Con.

Andrew got a sneak peak of the ST mod we'll be using... It's pretty damn awesome!
