As for hardware. I can guarantee that you will never find the exact hardware because it was more than likely some random find of some antiques from someone in a garage sale or something like that. What I used is very close. I used x3 3" black hinges for the lid. x3 sets of backflap hinges from Ace Hardware. Buy Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze and spray paint the backflap hinges after you take them apart to make the x3 handles. Buy x6 small d-rings for the backflap hinges you just took apart. Look for a barrel lock online. That is the closest lock you will find. The hinge I used for the lock is a black hinge from Lowes. DO NOT use paint. It will NOT look the part at all! I used 2 different custom stains. Minwax Green Tea and Cabot Stormy Teal. I used the Green Tea on the whole thing first then lightly added some Stormy Teal over the top. I'm sure there is a closer stain I just don't have the money to buy every green they have to do trial and error. The wood I used for the frame is called Whitewood from lowes. The lid and bottom I used old pallet wood. The frame sides are 1 piece each. The lid and bottom have 3 pieces each. With the 4 wooden braces on the lid and 3 wooden braces on the bottom. The fabric on the inside is from walmart. I used the one that looks like old artist drop cloth that's an off speckled white. About 4ft will do. I also spread some green excelsior wood fiber I got from michaels on the bottom. Before I did that I bought another 4ft of that fabric and put it on the bottom to stop the wood fibers from falling out.
