I do local cosplay and charity events and, up until now, my costumes have been bulky and hard to interact with people in. I decided to put this costume together because it would be light weight and I could talk and interact with people. This build took me about two months to put together. This was not a 1 for 1 match. I wanted to add a little extra flair and color.

The undersuit was motocross pants and vest and a black turtleneck. No images of them by themselves, but you can see them in the complete ensemble below. The motocross gear had a nice mesh which complemented the build. Boots were standard tactical boots. Gloves were also motocross gloves, but I got them in red instead of black to add a little more color.
The mask was made of leather. Wet formed to my face, painted with acrylic and sealed with and acrylic gloss.
The armored pieces were various thicknesses of foam. Some floor mats, some craft. I minimized cuts by heat forming the foam. Detail lines were cut into the foam and then heated so that they took on more definition. The "rivets" were washers from Home Depot and the borders were thin cut craft foam. The elbows in the image below were quickly removed because they limited me from bending my arms. Armor was sealed with Plasti-Dip. Primer applied and spreayed with high gloss spray paint. Lighter red was hand brushed acrylic and everything sealed with high gloss sealant. I chose the "R" from Tim Drake's later costume rather then the "R" in the image above. Everything is modular and attached by Velcro. Each piece is separate including the chest pieces to allow for the best mobility.
The utility belt was one of my wife's belts used because it was a larger belt. The packs were craft foam again. The snaps and buckle were 3D printed. I chose a New 52 design to give it a little uniqueness. Everything mounted by Velcro.
The cape was black with yellow lining sewn by a friend who is a seamstress and the staff is a thick dowel rod with craft foam wrapped as grips.
I wore this to a couple of local events last month and to a con this weekend where I took home the "Best Craftsmanship" award.
