Arkham Knight Group Cosplay

Hello everyone,

I would like to create a group cosplay with my friends and family(this is my first cosplay) based off of the upcoming video game Arkham Knight.
I am going as Red hood and i need help figuring out how to make that mirrored dome -ish look I would like ideas or consultation on who we should go as and how to pull of that particular character.

Any gloss or high-gloss paint will give you a somewhat reflective surface. The hard part is making your helmet the right shape and getting the dome smooth enough to your liking. The even harder part comes if you want to be able to see out of it.

What you could do is create the helmet shape you want, cut a thin visor in it for visibility purposes, then use red mirrored window tint to cover the whole thing. Granted, that's a tall order, considering it is a very curved surface and you are going to have a hard time covering it without the window tint film overlapping on itself.

Unfortunately those are the best suggestions I personally have. The first thing you should do is decide how much you are willing to spend (both in time and money) on making this helmet. If you don't mind spending hundreds of dollars, you could commission the helmet from a replica prop maker, like the many we have on this site, and you will likely end up with a very high quality piece that also enables you to see. If you would rather play things cheap, then I would recommend reading up on the Pepakura method and seeing if you can design the helmet that way, then build it yourself to the best of your ability. Just remember to be content with your own work and remind yourself that this is your first cosplay.
