Are we EVER going to see a Crystal Skull replica?

I posted this question over at COW but wanted to cover all bases.
I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting a replica of this prop - and I know there was an attempt here a while ago that fell through.
Is this something we could come to see from Sideshow or from the fan??

I'd imagine sideshow COULD do it... would they on the other hand? IDK
I do know that they have put their 12" Indy line "on pause" for now.

I still have a hard time understanding why anyone would even want one. After all, the consensus is the movie sucked the sweat off a dead man's balls...

No offense to any hard-core Indy fans, since I am one, but let's get real here - this movie was to the Raiders franchise what Alien Resurrection was to that one.

And that's probably why you'll never see a licensed one.

I know its smaller (some say 2/3 the size, but I think its a bit smaller), but the projector toy does fit the bill for my collection. Its a little more blue tinted than I would have liked, but for now, I am happy with it. Have you guys seen it up close?

Its roughly nine and a half inches by 4 inches if that helps.

Anyone know the size of the screen skull? My guess is around 20 inches.

Yeah, the sculpt by chewie15 was amazing, but as said here, there was an Imperial entanglement so that one is sleeping with the fishes.
KOTCS was a great movie - it had everything every other Indy movie had. Anyone who really hates it that much just had way too many expectations for an Indy movie.

I liked the film, I liked the props including the skull. It gave me much fun to go with my popcorn and frozen coke. :)

I disagree - I LOVE the other Indy movies, but had very low expectations for the newest installment...and I wasn't let down. It just about met my low expectations. I don't hate it, it is watchable, but it's definately not Indy.

It certainly didn't have everything the others had - infact it tried to go that little bit further and I think that's what ruined it for me.
In Raiders God didn't poke his head in to thank them for recovering the Arc, I didn't see Shiva giving thanks for finding the Sankara stones, I don't recall ***** popping up to reclaim his Grail.
I was perfectly happy to accept the Alien Skull artifact, infact I really like the design, but for some reason they felt the need to have aliens and a flying saucer in KotCS.
It removed all mystery and chances of personal interpretation.

Sorry for the derail!

I didnt say I didnt LIKE IT...I just said it was INDY MEETS THE ALIENS.

My feelings are..it was EXACTLY like every other Indy Movie. WHich would be fine if this was 1980.

However, we have all been exposed to movies SINCE then that have surpassed the bar set by many of the older movies, Raiders et all, and now when you see the movies with that older formula....they seem dated and are somewhat disappointing.

As far as the PROP...I thought the ALIEN head was awesome.
A crystal one that glowed..would be cool.
However, I wouldnt want one. It has little to do with anything but FOOT PRINT.
Its huge, and Im running out of room, so...Id rather have the "Lady shaver" all things being equal, because I have room for it! Not to mention my daughter seems to destroy everything. I had a really cool INDY IDOL Casting. Now I have TWO HALVES of a COOL INDY IDOL CASTING.....and the list goes on.

hahahah

Really? That's what you consider a witty assesment on a family oriented forum? :thumbsdown

Now Funky,...

One can only provide intellectual opinion to the extent of personal limitations.

Watch ALIEN 3..and every time they say the F word.

Take a drink of beer.

:cheers

Brundle, I'll ignore the personal dig (do you know me well enough?) and state for the record that my opinion was not intellectual but visceral (you may need to look that word up ;) )

To Brundle's credit, however, most of the movies we love contain much less family-friendly fare and dialogue, and if publicly posting "balls" is against the forum's TOS, I'll readily edit it. In the meantime, enjoy:
