I recently acquired a copy of a number of realscan images of AOTC props, and I thought some people hear might find them useful as references Let me know what you think.

Thanks. I don't doubt the authenticity for using these as reference, but .. what exactly are these images? Why are they in black and white? Were they in greyscale originally?

These are real scans of the props from episode two, I believe what they'd do is scan the real hero props to make digital models for CG scenes. These images are the raw scans.

These are the images that were sent to the toy companies (IE Hasbro) prior to Episode II so that they had a scale for their products.

This is all coming from memory from 2002 so forgive me if I'm wrong. I DO remember that that scan was ALL Tim Pienta (aka Jedi135) used to make his original Anakin EpII saber... Oh what a waste of money that was... at least he delivered. ;)

Good memory, right on all accounts.

Ah, I remember the Anakin debacle. I think his promise was that anything that wasn't %100 accurate on the saber he could fix. I guess he didn't count on the possibility that he scaled the entire thing at 1.5 instead of 1.25 and the whole thing was too big.

Like I said before. I don't know what use these might be, for most of them we have better pics, but for some of the guns, I've never seen the other sides, and for the back of the jedi communicator and the obi binoculars, I think that these are the best references I know of.

enjoy

Thnaks for sharing these. I keep all the ref pics I can find, because you never know when you'll need them.
