Aoshima Fireflash

Just finished making this kit of the Fireflash atomic airliner as seen in the first episode of Thunderbirds. Nice little model but quite fiddly to paint.

I bought a couple of models from Ebay,.. and then I was inspired to create a little cocktail menu, that I thought they might have in the wing cocktail lounges.

Lovely build of this kit. I really like the scratch-built lounge inside the wing windows. The colours look spot on - which paints did you use for the light and dark blues?

Thanks, I can't actually remember the names of the colours I used, sorry. I think they were Tamiya sprays but I couldn't swear to it, they just looked about right.

The challenge of painting this thing is what has kept mine in the box for about a decade...

The decals are good, stripes to hide every colour join, which helps!

Thanks. All the Aoshima Thunderbirds kits are being reissued in the UK at the moment, so I've been able to pick one of these up. Will have to experiment with the paint colours.
