I just ran across this on the net -

Pretty cool 50's retro gun, and the price is much more affordable than Weta's rayguns.

Thoughts?

Pretty cool! It looks like something the roller-skating waitress' would carry on them at the 50's drive-in diners to obliterate anyone who smacked them on the a$$!:lol

Jet thats waht i was thinking, even the colors are what you would expect on an old studabaker... its a beautiful gun but i bets its a pretty penny...

Was this a movie or an old TV show?

Space Vixens was a comic from the 1980's that featured art work from the late and wonderfully talented Dave Stevens. Here's an example:

But the art from Space Vixens also reminds me of another comic with art by Dave Stevens: "Planet Comics," which also was published in the 1980's:

Notwithstanding the foregoing, I'm not sure if Sixteen 12 used the Dave Stevens comics as inspiration or reached some sort of licensing agreement with whomever owns the copywrite - all I know is that this ray gun is all kinds of cool and I plan on getting in line for one. It's spectacularly retro.

Love the design, but not the color, it reminds me of a kitchen appliance. I think that a gloss turquoise, red, or black base color would have been better.

David.
