Anyone recognize these sci fi looking seats?

ST:TNG ended in 1994, ST:Generations was released in 1994, the Vegas Experience opened in 1998 & closed in 2008...

Allegedly, the original set was 'destroyed' for the end of Generations, though 3 replica bridges were built later: 2 for Vegas and 1 for tours(?):

Not sure where yours fits into that...

Certainly, you couldn't have these made for twice what you paid, so it's a bargain no matter what.

Attached are some pics of Vegas chairs for comparison.

Got some crappy caps from Generations. As you can see, the chair itself wasn't destroyed, but apparently just tipped over and dirtied up. LMK if I missed any brief close-ups of the arms or controls.

The Capt. chair from the series was stolen overnight before Generations was shot.

This chair looks like an earlier version

The Capt. chair is getting a lot of focus, but if the conn and ops chairs are authentic, those are the RARE ones and at Auction the skys the limit

Rob look to see if they have any Hag chairs around

Or the fact that he only saw a couple reruns on a black and white tv in the 1990's? :lol
I have never seen a B&W tv after the 1970's.

I watched the premiere on a small b&w portable set. It aired on a distant station a couple days earlier than my local station, and that little TV was the only one that could tune it in.

I was a kid in the 70's hence the B&W tv. During the 90's I didnt catch much TV as I was working an awful lot and unlike modern times, people still went out and socialized regularly. On the regular I didnt get home till 2am. The only series I would catch regularly was Night Flights.

I had a B&W in the 70's too... But the Next Gen was on in the 90's. They didn't say the original series from the 70's. Did you still use the B&W in the 90's? You says you only watched the Next Gen series a few times on the B&W TV. :lol

But, but... we NEEEED the pictures of the consoles that you got with it. Keep in mind, you are actively killing some of us. :)

Nope. Not what he said.

Ive never seen anything of the series minus some of the original show on B&W tv as a kid. Ive also never seen any LOTR/Hobbit, Harry Potter, Scream, Hunger Games, or most super hero movies. At first glance I thought they resembled custom 70's van seats.

Guess you misread that part.

The conn and ops chairs appear to be reproductions as the original season one 'rocker' style seats were leather wrapped, not upholstered. They switched to a swivel version for season two. Based on that, the condition they are in and the time frame of late 90s I'd say they are probably from one of the traveling sets. More pictures in better light would help identify them.

Either way, what a great deal! :eek

So, your $200.00 purchase - was that for yourself, or under the budget of the project you are on? In other words do you own these personally now?

Production didnt pay anything. This was a cash in hand deal. After going through the storage area we pulled the consoles.

I was able to open everything up during lunch and get power to the chair. These are the arm rests.

And the other consoles with the chairs as per the images posted above. With the help of a electrician friend weve opened those up as well and are in the process of testing/replacing the lamps/ballasts and sorting the wiring to make sure nothing is going to catch fire or short before running power to them.

This is one of the greatest threads I've ever seen. I sure hope some day you'll let some of us locals visit and try them out.
