I'm thinking you won't be able to speak to him direct. :lol :lol :lol

From the website.

Lucasfilm is located in San Francisco, California.

The mailing address for Lucasfilm is P.O. Box 29901, San Francisco, CA 94129.

Joe

His contact information is listed with the Directors Guild in California. Like mentioned before you probably won't be able to speak to him directly but the Guild will put you in contact with a Lawyer, or some form of Rep.

However for what you are wanting to do sounds more like a licensing issue and you want to track down a number or email for LFL Licensing department.

thanks for the info..... like i said i wanted to do a print for resale.... i had planned to give half the proceeds to a charity of george's choosing......

His wallet? :lol

Seriously, good luck and keep us posted how it goes. I've always wanted to write a Raiders of the Lost Ark book containing the script, storyboards, behind the scenes pics, production photo's, etc., since there was never a comprehensive book about the film as there are for any of the Star Wars films. However, I was always shot down saying the licence to do that would be enormous. I'm interested to see where this takes you.

i will keep ya posted on where i go with this...... i have emailed one address a few times with no responce....

You could try Steve Sansweet hes head of fan relations

Do you have the contact info for Steve Sansweet?

This may be a good place to start Rod. Sansweet can put you in touch with the right people.

Good luck Rod.. :)

A couple quick notes:

If you're interested, seriously interested, in doing this, do it professionally.

Write a letter to Lucasfilm licensing and explain exactly what you want to do. Enclose a hi-res scan of the piece you want to sell.

But I gotta tell ya - There's almost no chance it will happen. Someone has already paid LFL a great deal of money for the opportunity to sell prints. If LFL lets you do it too, that devalues the license, and irritates the licenseholder.

Your best bet is to find out who the licenseholder is, and to approach them with your charity idea.

Best Wishes,

Russell Walks

if i get permission , it will be a bang up job..... i have no intentions of paying anyone upfront for this venture. but i would give half the proceeds to a charity of george's choosing...... i cant believe its so hard to find an email address to contact LFL..... i work in an art gallery and i paint for a living...... i tried lucas arts , but there is no contact info there ...

Ya you need to get in contact with Howard Roffman, he's in charge of Lucas Licensing and makes those decisions....but you realize you have to pay LFL a large amount of money for any license to make anything in relation to SW?

If you don't get through those other listed channels I could talk with someone high up in LFL for you....

hi sith lord , all i need is an email address for howard roffman..... i can pitch what i want to do and see what happens...... any help would be great thanks rod

I've had some talks with LFL concerning poster art. A known professional artist has been turned down my Licensing, more or less. I don't mean to be a downer, but people "off the street" really don't have much of a chance getting a license to produce merchandise. Again, I don't mean to poo poo your efforts, but I figure I should convey what I've learned.

Digressing some...

I sure would like to see if Sansweet could get us some detailed pics of the X-wing studio model that was used for Red five.
