I'm looking to make a set of slotted removable headlight covers to replace the painted glass on my "Evil Herbie" car so I can keep the car's look at shows but have the infernal things removable so I can see the road at night.
So far I've tried cutting some patterns with static cling vinyl and elastic fabric with no luck, and I think the only thing that will actually work is a vac-u-formed cover of reasonable thickness over a headlight bucket. I don't need a vacuum table for anything else I'm building so I figure bringing some styrene and buying dinner for someone who knows the ropes and can give me a hand with their table is much easier than building/storing a table and getting all of the bugs out of it.
Anyone with a vacuum table interested in giving me a hand with this?
Thanks
