Anybody Mod a Cyberman Voice Changer Helmet ?

I would like to! I haven't found any voice changers over on the US side of the pond, however, that aren't priced out of what I'm willing to pay, though. :/

I recently finished a mod of the voicechanger to go with my cyberman costume.Technically I suppose mine's a recast but that's the only way to get the cold cast finish to match the rest of the suit but for a painted finish you could use the same technique to finish off the back.

I sculpted the remainder of the backshell on the helmet in clay and then took an alginate mould of the result.

From this I could vacform a thin shell and make a fibreglass back.I had to make a silicone mould for mine for the cold casting but that would basically be all you'd need to do to modify a voicechanger into a two part helmet...well after a little sawing anyway.

And here's my finished cold cast one at a convention last weekend.

That looks great
Do you think it would be possible to make a small run of the rear part ?

I've never heard of these guys before. What are they from? The costumes look cool.

The one one the left is wearing the standard Stormtrooper type unitard underneath and the one on the right seems to be wearing an Alien Xenomorph latex skin underneath?

They are from Doctor Who. The guy on the right actually has a correct Cyberman undersuit. It's supposed to wires, conduits, and the like. Your typical Sci-Fi robot stuff.

i would be in if a run of these back panels was to got ahead

nice work by the way howlrunner

Just need somebody to take this on now,
I did PM Reactor Drone but didn't get a reply

Noticed he's in Australia, so the price might be prohibitive for individual shipping. However, I would be willing to act as an intermediary, if it helps the price to ship them all at once, and then I can break them up and send them out. Not sure if there's much benefit to the price there either, so..

I'm also willing to buy a VC helmet and sculpt my own back to share with everyone. I don't have vacform equipment, though, so would need to team up with someone. Anyone in the Utah area that we know of with molding/casting and vacforming experience?

Another option would be for someone to buy a vacform buck from the fellow, if he's willing to sell, and then do their own run that way. This might be the more cost effective route.

It would be great if somebody could do this

I'm itching to do this now. Can anyone provide me with dimensions and weight of the VC helmet? Ebay UK has them for cheap, but I need to figure out how much it's going to cost to ship one overseas. If anyone can get me a shipping estimate as soon as possible, I would appreciate it very much. It'll be shipping to Pleasant Grove, Utah, 84062 (USA).

I am cooped up in the hospital, just gathering information and making plans.. :)
