I was a huge fan of the G4 until the G5 came out...
*crickets*
Anywhoo... I'm just going to repeat what others have said: Once TechTV was gone, so was the magic. I'll admit, though, I even watched TechTV less and less as the years went by. It was fun watching Leo transition from a Windows guy to a Mac guy.
I still remember the old C|Net shows - who could forget where Ryan Seacrest got his start? I looked forward to Richard Hart and Gina St. John giving me all the latest Tech News.
Of course, I think the big problem with "TechTV" is the internet. C|Net and TechTV had their place when the internet, computers and digital technology were young(ish), but by 2002/2003 the internet became a MUCH better place to get your Tech News and folks were finally starting to get streaming video right. Even "TechTV" was too slow to adopt to the internet age.
If you wanted to do a "TechTV" style show today, you wouldn't be able to talk about/review the latest technologies (news), you would have to do more of a lifestyle show - talking philosophically (somewhat) about how technology affects our lives. People wouldn't tune in to see somebody reviewing the iPad Mini - but they might tune in to see a profile piece like "A Day in my life with the iPad Mini".
I do miss Richard, Gina, and Leo though...
