Any DOOM prop owners here? :)

Hey all :D

I have recently opened a new site which is all about the props and costumes from the Doom movie, and I'm looking for anyone who might be forthcoming with entries and information?

http://www.doommoviearchive.co.uk

I'm steadily including items from my own personal prop and costume collection, which naturally I would be interested in expanding, but if anyone has any items (or questions about those already up of course!) then I would love to hear from people :D

Comments on layout etc would also be much appreciated. I still haven't put together the a few of the links, so don't be alarmed by 404s - still a little WiP sadly, but the important content is there :D

I'm digging the site bud. Looks great and I do like the props from Doom, but they don't seem to be desired too much, so I haven't seen a lot of scratch built replicas of the guns and props from this flick.

looks great!
You should contact the guys at first4figures, who handled the BFG gun.
They could probably help you with info and snippets, as they are very approachable.
Ill PM you their names.

Heya guys :D

Thanks for all the comments. In regards the BFG, I'm actually in contact with the people who put together the prototypes, and also a chap who helped make the final props (as well as many other weapons from the movie). With any luck, the write-ups will be incredibly extensive with lots of lovely "in progress" photos, and lots of detailed comments by the original makers.

I've seen the hero BFG on YourProps. I know who the account holder is, and he has a hell of a lot of Doom kit, so I'm going to look to get him involved - it would be wonderful to have his gear included in the 'online collection' so to speak :)

The write-ups are going to be as extensive as possible, going through the original creators, the processes undertaken to make them, prototyping, the final result and so on. I will also at some stage be looking to include stunt examples as well as the heroes.

So keep coming back! There's a long way to go yet :D

I just saw it last night on cable. The BFG was very cool, as was how badass the artist formally known as the Rock's character was.

Hi all!

Updates are still coming - the most recent write-up on the site has been on the hero Goat shotgun, which I am working on photography for as we speak. I've also been working on site layout, so now hopefully it looks a little nicer too.

Further submissions are still being looked for - initial offers of photos and information on props have run cold and unfortunately inquiries through YourProps have been unsuccessful. However, some big news may be coming in the next couple of weeks, so fingers crossed we'll have some significant items for putting on the site :D

Anybody ever think about recreating the shrouds and other add-on parts?
