Anti-Cyberman Gun

Would anyone know about how to go about making the gun Clara uses in Nightmare in Silver? This:



I seen someone say something about using a Nerf Stampede?

Might also work using a Nerf Mega Centurion, especially since the barrel's length would fit more with the anti cyberman gun. Would need a lot of additional casing though...

Hello Laain. and welcome to the RPF. first off I would ask what tools you have to work with. and materials your comfortable working with. how accurate you want the prop to be. basic small stuff. then I would look for a base gun.

I don't have any fancy tools for doing wood work. I mostly only have my hands and knives and little things like that. I'm comfortable with pretty much any material except for wood. I would like for it to be as close as possible. It doesn't have to light up I can just paint on the red parts.

Sound's like this would probably be a foam project. added on to whatever Nerf gun was chosen. never worked with foam myself so a bit out of my league. I would suggest researching through the foam project's there are here. through the search feature. and I can look through the Nerf gun world and maybe give some suggestion's.

It's a really cool design. It's a very ambitious project. My advise is to find a base gun, as already suggested, and go to the hardware store and look around. Specifically the plumbing and electrical sections. You can find all kinds of things that can be used as details to the gun at the hardware store.

Well I'm no good In the field of graphic's. or I would take that back stock part off and raise It level. and you can find crafting thing's every were. I look on the ground nowadays and see stuff and say hey. I could probably make something with that. and I'm a gun nut and doctor who lover. so whatever I can do to help just ask...

I can maybe just leave that part as is and just use foam or something to make it the same height as the rest. But say I was going to raise that part what would I do to get it to stay? Haha, yeah that's true pretty much anything can be used for crafting. Okay I will! c:

that gun come's apart In section's you could take the stock off and cut that top portion off. and make a hole for the piece sticking out from the back of the middle section. and with plastic's I like two part epoxy's for bonding.

Okay thanks! I actually found another butt end that may fit that style that would probably work. I may just buy that part for it.

I found what could be a better base gun all together..

So many Nerf gun's the possibility's are vast..

lol, yes there is so many to choose from.

I would think this would be the one to go with. It's a Nerf N Strike Longstrike CS-6.
and Instead of cutting a lot of stuff off. you could just add stuff to It. and you could use that front part to build some type of foam cylinder around and attach to the front. you could probably find one on evelbay for not a whole lot of cash.

Did you have a budget range for this project?
