Question ANSWERED forum displaying html code instead of character for some symbols

Is the problem on my end?
In some of the posts some of the time the html code for symbols is being displayed.....
from what I've noticed so far for the apostrophe, exclamation point, colon and percent......
but not for the dash, or slash.......

Not much of a problem, but if a poster uses a lot of contractions, the message gets a little cluttered and difficult to read.....

re: forum displaying html code instead of character for some symbols (answered)

It shows up on old threads that have been resurrected. It's because of differences between how vBulletin and our previous forum software displayed special characters and text formatting. Take a look at the date of the post that contains the characters that you are referring to.

Thanks Montagar. Yeah, I did notice it was on some of the old threads but hadn't noticed that it was on them exclusively.
