Another thrilling adventure of The Green Hornet!

Well, of course, although I'd be more polite about it. :) But if you thought you were being slighted, you might have mentioned it.

I apologize if you felt slighted in any way; I was just kidding around.

No Worries here.

If I thought I was being slighted, I would have mentioned it. Again, I think Falcon was just looking out for a Fellow RPF member. Which I appreciate.

Again, we are all just exchanging Valid opinions. Which is Cool.

As long as we remain Civil and Respect what each other has to say.

I don't consider "The movie sucks, period" to be a valid opinion, and I don't respect that sort of message on a message board set up as a free exchange of ideas and opinions, no.

I beg to differ Sir.

Saying the Movie "Sucks" Is just as valid as saying it's Great.

I personally Never said it Sucked, I just agreed with that statement given by another Member.(Members)

At this Point, I have wasted enough time on a Film I don't believe is worth the trouble..I gave my opinion, which I stand by, and now look forward to what other members have to say..

Kirk Out.....

So long as they are both signficiantly justified. Your opinion can be that my orange is blue, but that doesn't make it a valid opinion. The validity of an opinion is dependant upon the justification presented. Yes, everyone has a right to their opinion, but they also have a responsibility for it. So, technically, you are right that two unjustified opinions are equal in terms of validity.

In terms of this thread, and others, much of the desctructive criticism is thrown casually and without elucidation. While I can sympathize with the lack of interest in exerting such mental energies for a topic you don't care for, my sympathy ends when the laziness is tossed out as opinion anyway. It adds nothing to discourse because it is a nothing-statment.

If you don't have anything substantial to say, don't say anything at all. Or, at least don't complain when your being accused of having a less-than-valid opinion.

So, uh ... Green Hornet.

Oh, and before you even say it, I apolagize that my last post does not being with "In my opinion."

(Isn't that always obvious? Is someone else's name on this post?)

I don't consider "the movie is great, period" to be a valid opinion, either. Both statements barely qualify as meaningful sentences, much less valid opinions.

If you guys want to get into a Pissing contest with me, Bring it on.:lol.Just another example of "keyboard muscles".:lol

I gave Valid and Intellegent reasons as to why I didn't Like the Movie.

If you two guys are Talking about specific members, they Please have the guts to mention them.

You can throw about your little Words Negative, Haters, Whatever...

But basically what you guys are saying is that if anyone dosen't agree with YOUR opinions, Other opinions aren't valid.

Have a Nice Day.:thumbsup

Dang, man, civility and respect went out the window fast, didn't it? :lol

This thread isn't so long that when I quote falcondesigns' "The movie sucks, period" that if you hadn't been reading along you'd easily find out to whom I was referring. I'm not sure where "guts" or "keyboard muscle" come into it, but, yeah: Falconsdesigns is the dirty, thieving, black-shirt-wearing, double-crossing, cattle-rustling cowpoke what done the deed.

No, that's not "basically" what I'm saying, although it seems that's what you're getting out of it. What I'm saying is that terse, negative, unsupported opinions aren't valid. I think that's as clear as can be; sorry you're taking away something else.

I second that.......that my opinion.

Having read the entire thread before posting my two cents,it was obvious to me that I watched a totally different movie.Since the bulk of this thread was a rave applaues for the film,I felt no other justifation but to even the scales, least someone else reads this thread and wastes their hard earned money on this........period,the end.

P.S.look forward to having a beer next time I'm in S.F.

LoL ! I have NEVER seen another film make people choose sides like this one . Of course , people were drawing sides a year ago Waaaaaaaay before the film was even screened . Alot of diehards threw up their hands as soon as Seth Rogen was announced as the Lead actor . Hell......i do that with some actors as well . But i at LEAST give the film a shot if it seems like something i'm interested in. Film , like music and Art , can be VERY subjective to the human heart . What one person see's as "Art " , another will see as " Abstract trash " . No-one will be able to convince them to see the " art " in the same light as they do if they do NOT see it for themselves in the first place . Does any of that make sense ? ;)

Anyroad.......I liked the Film . Others do NOT Tho . Just like "art " . But they cannot TELL me i should "NOT " like it . Just as i cannot tell them they should !

Seth Rogan has been hit and miss with me, but I was also doubtful about Michael Keaton as Batman and I think he did a great job.
So, I was prepared to give this a chance.
Then, another friend told me he loved it and he is the type who would laugh at fart jokes all day long.
Off my list it dropped.
Now I will see this, based on Larry's enthusiasm.
Besides, the Black Beauty and a good Kato are certainly worth the price of admission, all by themselves!
