Another Snowspeeder Question

Hi Fellow builders

I am interested in building 100% accurate model snowspeeder I have a 1:48 Finemolds model and a 3/4 studio Scale MR snowspeeder to work off and the measurments are not adding up with both of them how I mean by that is the finemold is supposed to have a 80%+ of being accurate and the MR I cannot get a read off it for scale at all I think it has been badly screwed with to hide it's scale
Am I approaching this to picky or should I forget using the MR and stay with the Finemold kit instead.:angry

Id go with the MR, it was apparently scanned from the Rogue Leader motion control mini, im not sure if the powers that be tinkered here and there to keep Lucas happy, but its closer than the FM kit, that, to me at least, is a no brainer.
I recently built a new canopy for my SS build, which was taken direct from the MR models dims, a small screw up on the canopy bar placement set me back a tad, but, once that was corrected, the canopy alone, is spot on to the prop.

I'd agree...

when I was trying to read of scale from the MR using reference from the Finemold kit I got 1:17 on the roof of the canopy and 1:23 on the width of the lower wingspan that is what put me off from using the MR

Buddy it has no real world scale, its a 3/4 version of the studio prop, that also, has no scale as such.
Thinking in scale in studio miniatures, just doesnt go hand in hand im afraid.

Do you have the new making of TESB book by Rinzler yet?
