Another possible branch on the ST family tree?

I have to say that these helmets are very difficult to photograph properly.



I hope that one does it more justice.

Thats a strange way to attach the mic tips. Has anyone here who has seen the inside of an original ROTJ, SE or Tour helmet know if they were attached the same way?

The mic tips are resin (very light) with a screw post cast into them.

Agreed... I hadn't paid much attention to the tear areas on this helmet, but they certainly appear shallower and don't have the pinching along the edges of the tear area. I'd love to see a Special Edition / Tour helmet up-close to see if the Tear area on them shows the same traits as this helmet.

Depending on when the Deluxe line went into pre-production (Deluxe Vader was sold in 1995?) this helmet would be dated anywhere from 1993-5 through 1996-ish, or even before?
