Another Boba Fett Helmet (ESB of course)

Back panels are pretty much done. Here are some progress close ups of the details...

For the hair line scratches I've used a semi blunt airbrush needle to scratch away the top layers of paint to reveal the underlaying coats. Using different amounts of pressure allows to lighten up the blue, or scratch through just enough to reveal the concrete color or even further to reveal the hard silver base coat.

I've also applied the base grey/light blue topically.

Oh my goodness, here we go again!!

Love watching your progress!!

I wish I could follow along with mine, but you're already ahead of where I left off around four or five years ago!!

Even Polyscale/Floquil went through chemical ingredient changes (twice not including the move from enamel to acrylic), and THEN to Testors Model Masters, so it is hard to say what RLM73 Lee was even referring to at the time he put that list together.

Gotcha, for me, it's all the little detail work on the right mandible, right back panel and top scratch.....

It's an eye test :)

You're probably right those are difficult spots, maybe it's because I really really enjoy the small detail work that I don't consider it a chore lol.

The left ear is always a fun piece. It really brings a balance to the left side of the helmet. I love the horse shoe arches on both ears.

Side by side shot of the hero helmet ear comparison. The one on top is the hero helmet and was shot with flash so the colors will appear a bit brighter where as mine is shot on an iphone in a brightly lit room.
