.'. Animatronic AVP Cannon video.

Very cool.

Are you using a micro servo, or a standard size? Some micros have nice torque. Have you thought about using a photo strobe for the light source? (This is how I want to build mine, still looking for uber cannon though). You could use a blue (light) filter, then the photo strobe. As far as a batter/power source, that could go into the shoulder pack. If you used a LithoPolly battery, you could get a long life and a nice cyclic rate. I was planing on using somewhere around a 2,400 mil amp battery for my setup.

Just a thought though,

Again, very cool on the cannon.
I'm using Standard size (Futaba s3003) servo. I'm using blue leds as the light source too. I just got a sound board that also has leds for a cannon from Hyperdyne labs in yesterday. I mainly wanted it for the Predator sounds, when you mash a button a certain amount of times it makes that noise. It comes with a sound board, speaker, battery housing, leds that go off with cannon sound too. Here's the web link Visit My Website .Hope this helps.

looks awesome.....fantastic job!!!!!!! Cant wait to see it all set up on your backpack!
Photo of cannon mounted on my backpack as promised. I just drilled 2 holes through the arm base into the backpack and attached it with two 5inch bolts with hot glue for added backup support. Then attatched the servo from the cannon into the arm also with smaller bolts and glue.
