SANDING THE BASE


Hi my dear friends,

at the moment I´m working on a life-size Luke ANH display.
Display will look like this.

In the backround I would like to place a Print of this scene.

I have received some realy good looking 1080p quality Tatooine pics from one of our members.


And here are some production pics from me

I was able to buy a Luke Skywalker statue some months ago.
The head was nice looking but the position of the mannequin was very ugly.
So I had the idea of rebuilding the whole statue in a nice looking positon and with
a solid base
.
Here we go:

Well, my only (not very helpful) guess is to wait until the Blu Rays are released to get a HD quality version of this still :/

These are from a 720p rip from an HDTV broadcast. They probably aren't big enough for what you want but I'll post them anyway. There is a 1080p version of this broadcast out there if you go looking. I altered the levels of the first pic for the second pic a little because the screencaps came out so dark.

Loanstar I am currently building a home theater with Tatooine
theme with life size star wars character.

These are from a 720p rip from an HDTV broadcast. They probably aren't big enough for what you want but I'll post them anyway. There is a 1080p version of this broadcast out there if you go looking. I also just realized that the scene is in the trailer for the blu-ray release that Lucasfilm release a few weeks ago.
I found a 1080p version on youtube but it isn't the greatest quality: YouTube - Star Wars Blu-ray Trailer HD
If you can find a nicer copy that might work.

How big are you making the pic? Man a whole side wall of a theater room would be EPIC!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

If it doesn´t have to be that exact scene, there are tons of high resolution pictures of the original filming places in tunesia on various picture hosting sites like photobucket, panoramio or flickr.
It shouldn´t be too hard to produce a scene like the one on your picture from those with the help of a little photoshop.

Do search for Nefta, Tozeur or Medenine in Tunesia.
