ANH Stromtrooper Tube Stripe Color Question

I'm going to paint the tube stripes on my RS-Props bucket but i'm still not shure what blue to use for the tube stripes:

What i found out that it is not really clear what of these options is the most accurate:

All paints by Humbrol

No. 14 French Blue gloss
No. 15 Midnight Blue gloss
No. 109 World War I Blue matt

No. 15 looks much to dark, but there are pictures of one and the same bucket out there make it hard to decide which of the both other shades is the right one


The first looks like French

The second on the left side more like WWI

Seems the question of what is the exact colour, is more complicated than it seems.

Definitely don't use Humbrol #15 for the tube stripes. Too dark. Humbrol #14 is the one most used for tube stripes I believe. Interesting thread at whitearmor. Trust troopermaster's opinion.

Don't forget to take into account the lighting. It can destroy all your thoughts and research on actual colors
