This is this years comi-con and halloween costume. So..here are some pix I have taken. There should be some steady updates as this needs to be done by end of Sept....I hope.

I just relearned a lesson. Do things in pairs. Now I am trying to match the paint I mixed for the right arm....sigh.

And tonights stuff.

Cutting the circles for the arms. Use a sharpened piece of pipe to trace it out and finish the cut with an xacto knife. Be careful to lean the knife to the centre of the circle so you do not bevel the cut in...you can always sand off the extra.




This is what then straps on the arm are made of. Foam with a tough plastic coating. I think it is under lay. I get small pieces from a carpet store for free.



This is the underlay cut and coated on one side with plasti-dip



I marked centre so i have a guide to follow for glueing



He is the pieces and the shoe goo.



Coated both sides...now we wait.



Place both inplace...be sure to get it right...this stuff sticks. Put some weight on it...see you in the morning.

well. enough for today. Not perfect but they are ok. Next time I will NOT make them one at a time...what a noob....sigh.

Well...I guess that will pass. Now for the top jaw, tongue and make it look a little more realistic

It's amazing what you can do with some white plastic and a dremel in about an hour.

I wish life would just say.."ok..go work on your costume" But it does not work like that. So no new costume for the Edmonton Comicon. But I will have it done for the Winnipeg Comicon...fingers crossed. Here are some random pix of things.
