Amazing Spiderman Build (Taylor McManus)

I see what you guys are saying, u want that turtle neck thing to tuck into!
My mind isn't all there with the halloween rush and finishing costumes without breaks.

The new version 3 is in production.. I have included a turtle neck option extra peice to be sewn in.

Version 3 features. Accurate sections. Smaller red center on chest. Accurate spider. Better accurate hands. Decided to do the same thing that mclean did and shade Under the webbing and under the red detail that surrounds the webbing. Ill include pics soon

Add a longer turtle neck, shorter legs sections, sot there is less puff painting that you have to do and cut off, and make the suit less wide. Even though you sew it smaller, my under arms had a lot of material under it. It looked like the 90's spiderman with the webs under the arms, or a flying squirrel suit. On the back, there is a part where the back runs over the black line, into the belt like it was stretched in photoshop over the belt. The colors are prefect, but the two lines on the side are barely visible after puff painting it, and the mask is really tight. Put some muscle shading on it if you can. I like yours the best, if you can fix the problems, maybe customize it with different sizes like sonjou, yours will be the best!

thanks. BTW, sew that mask on to the collar ASAP! lol.

The mask in my avatar is my new V3 mask. I sent a few free v3 masks out because my print guys took a vacation without telling me which put a few prints 1-2 behind schedule. who ever owns any of my v3 masks, please share pics.

im doing alot of fixing. the v2 was just an improvement of the v1. the v3 is a completely new design from scratch. with a few other's prints as reference.

i will include a turtle neck peice on the print as a freebie for the removable option.

WOW really Paul? Don't you think "from scratch" might be a little bit of a stretch considering you've pretty much ripped my pattern off completely? in fact I think that your home screen pic is ACTUALLY one of my prints, even though I never sold one to "you." I know some may say "whoa where's the proof!", but this is seriously the easiest print to tell one from the other. All you have to do is pick a few patches of honeycomb and see if they line up, and SURPRISE SURPRISE we've got a match here! Here is a larger version of Paul's home pic and my most recent version so you can do a little comparison.

Honestly, how is this any different than someone buying an Iron Man helmet from a member here, recasting it and selling it? I knew that I might sell a print to the wrong person eventually, but I didn't think it would be you Paul. And if anyone wants more proof, I can seriously point out a DOZEN solid tells that it's my print. A couple Photoshop comparisons and it will be pretty clear.

Yeah you did.

My deepest apologies to you Mercy, didn't mean to derail your thread at all, I honestly thought this was Paul's thread at first when I read his comment above. Once again my apologies.

But arent all ASM suits pretty much copies of each other MCL43N? Don't get me wrong. Your prints/suits are my personal favorites, but Paul seems like a pretty nice guy to me......idk :confused

No, they are not copies of each other, at all. Every ASM print you've seen has to be modified from the Raimi pattern or some other pattern, and that's a lot of hard work. It's not like when the actual movie patterns were released for the original trilogy and every print was based directly from the film suit. It's incredibly frustrating to basically have someone copy your work directly to make a profit. It's just incredibly... low. And then to have the audacity to say you made it from "scratch" (despite your little "referencing other prints" contradiction.)

Thank you. Obviously when a seamstress came on here and public startedbtelling him all that's wrong he blames it on my sewing. Like I said I'm not perfect but if something doesn't fit it just doesn't fit. Now ppl are calling you out. Kindbof you have been working on this version three for a while then why still sell a faulty suit for $150 " for this week only"?

SO far, Paul's pattern wasn't completelly the same as MCL34N's but, if we go with the recent pictures, It does look like the new version is an exact copy of MCL34N's original suit. What a shame

Really sorry to hear that then, bud.

I just read that, I'm sorry. Your stuff all looks really good and clean, so clearly you know what you're doing. I also feel for you on the zippers, I don't think people fully appreciate how difficult it can be to sew them on properly, AND STILL WORK. Especially if you're mainly self-taught, there's a huge learning curve. I'm learning more about invisible zippers now, but so far it's still very challenging.

When he started his first print he messaged me on Facebook asking if he could use my pictures as a reference for his print. I appreciated the fact that he asked so I said yes (How was I going to stop him?) but the progress pics I posted all lack some key details, to deter copying.

but Paul seems like a pretty nice guy to me......idk

This is the weirdest part about all of this, I've known Paul personally for over a year.... We're not great friends but he's always seemed pretty nice. Although, do you know who else was nice? Graham the scammer AKA Supergirl UK AKA Half the profiles that have been started here in the last 3 months.

First off, looking good Mercy!!! Looking forward to LOTS of pics of you're Halloween escapades lol. MCL34N...when you're the best you're bound to have these things happen to you.

MCL34N, I was sure that sometime you will say that and I am completely with your side. The first thing that came in my mind when i saw Paul's versions was '' Oh... That's a bad copy of MCL34N'S pattern''. Now that I am seeing his new version I am like '' That's a pretty nice copy of MCL34N'S pattern!'' Paul did improve his photoshop skills significantly!! And the thing that Paul didn't upload pictures of his newest version on the forum, doesn't seem fair to me...

Hey MCL34N, mine me asking how you did that "dark blue line" on the sides? I've been looking and looking on like Google and different places to get that effect and just cannot find it. I get it if you want to keep your secret though :)

I read a while back that I think he actually added the stitch lines.
Looks super duper.

No!!!! Its like finding out Santa isnt real! Well, I guess that means I should skip the middle man, and go straight to the source. I'll be ordering a McL4an suit soon.
