Amazing Spider-Man replica suit

Thanks! If you're a big guy, go for a big character! You could be The Thing, the Hulk, Rhino, etc.

Awesome work so far. I'm going to Wizard Con in Nashville in November and trying to come up with something to wear lol. Plus I'm an overweight guy too, so I'm on here trying to find ideas haha.

That actually would've been pretty nice! But, oh well. Haha

Sorry I've been away for so long. I've been busy with my YouTube stuff, and making other costumes/props for that. But, due to the fact that I'm 2 months away from WizardCon, I'm planning on getting back to work on this VERY soon.

Sorry it's been so long. A lot of stuff has been going on recently. Anyways, I thought I'd upload some more pictures.

These are the reference images I used to draw out the details. It always helps to have a lot of angles.

To draw the lines in the suit for the gloves, I pulled wristbands up around my brother's forearms. That way, I had a solid, even, line to trace around (sorry, no pictures of this part).

As for the belt, I did basically the same thing. I just got an actual belt, and put it where the top line needed to be drawn. Then, I moved it down to draw the bottom line (since the actual belt wasn't wide enough).

Here's another picture I've been using as a reference. Dan Slott tweeted it about a month ago. It's probably my favorite Spidey suit I've seen so far.

MORE UPDATES!

Given the fact that there's barely over two weeks for me to finish my costume for the Cincinnati Comic Expo, I have to kick this project into over-drive.
So, I decided to start the cutting process.

First, once my lines were all drawn out, I laid it flat and started cutting (adding an extra inch past the lines for safety).

I decided to take a couple test-fit pictures before I started sewing the layers together. (the red got all folded in some parts, and I couldn't see to fix it).

Now, on to the sewing! I REALLY need help with that...
Any comments/suggestions??

Problem; I was about to begin sewing on the red chest part, but I can't get everything lined up properly. Any suggestions?

Sorry, these pictures were taken a while ago, I just wasn't able to upload them until now.

Here are a few images of my sewing on the suit, as well as another test-fitting.

This weekend I went to the Cincinnati Comic Expo, and I decided to wear my un-finished suit on the last day.

Not quite there yet, but almost done! What do you think?
