I have been inspired by McLean, Kino Kaoru, and Lunaman to create my own Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit from scratch. I currently have the screen printed bricks down at the moment, however I am trying to find the right fabric. I am trying to avoid using nylon material because it is so gosh darn hard to screen print on those material (believe me, I had a mess when I used moleskin spandex).

A little back story, I have watched the Amazing Spider-Man 2 a total of about 37 times just to get a glimpse of the suit in motion. My friend worked at the theater so I often got a free ticket. I watched it even more times when I bought the blu-ray and was able to pause and observe the suit and decided that it was time to create one for myself and possibly inspire people to make their own from scratch as well. I bought an Orhadar pattern at the beginning of the year and fell in love with it. I found Gunheaddesign through a friend which led me here to theRPF.

At the moment, I am trying to find the right kind of navy blue fabric. On the left is the perfect shade of blue for my taste however, since it is scrapped fabric from a very old project I have run out of this material. The navy blue cotton lycra from Fabric World USA was tooooooo dark that it is borderline black (on the right) Also. please excuse my camera phone. I do not have any cameras to capture the sheen of the brick pattern.

This is what the fabric looks like when it is draped over my thighs.

And this is the fabric in comparison to the Kino Kaoru suit I have from him (the red appears too light in this photo, but rest assured Kino's red fabric is really dark)

I've been getting PMs on whether or not I'd be starting a full suit and the official answer is yes. I'm trying to figure out ways to screen print the red symbol on the back as well as the black symbol on the front. If anyone has any input for me that'd be great (especially on the fabric).

Also, we will also be screen printing the brick pattern onto red fabric. Atm, we're picking out fabric (

Right now, although I am happy with TJack's lenses and faceshell, I am having a 3D modeller create a faceshell for me.

Thank you, Mystery. Haha I'm actually just hoping I find the right color that happens to be cotton lycra. So far no luck with the swatches. And hey thanks for following me man! :thumbsup

Good luck on your journey, I can't wait to see more! I'm also looking for an accurate red fabric, so I can relate to the struggle haha.

Thanks. The red fabric so so annoying but I enjoy this challenge haha

I hope you can release kits for a decent price

Yeah we'll definitely release decent priced kits. We're all about quality + budgets.

I sure could use help with fabric searching though. I can only screen print the brick pattern onto cotton lycra. Preferrably ones that are a bit thick
