Alumilite starter kits - anyone use these?

I am tempted to pick up one of these, since I got a 40% off coupon for hobby lobby. I have only used the clear resin a few years ago though, and don't know anything about the silicone or regular resin.

So... anything I should know before picking one of these up? Curing times, if it's a pain in the ass to work with, etc.

I've used them before, it's actually what I 1st bought to get into casting. The Quickset RTV in them is ok for small stuff, you'll get @25 pulls from my experience before starting to have tearing issues. Maybe more if you use a release agent like Stoner Mold Release. I've had issues with trying to do small batch mixes, usually if I use it I plan on using the whole thing and mix the full activator bottle into the full jar of Quickset RTV. I don't care for their sulfur free plasticine for anything other than building mold walls, filler for doing a 2 part mold etc. Usually now I just order a bigger bucket of HSII from Alumilite and then gallon kits of regular or black resin.
