All New SS TOS VIPER PATTERN, 15 1/2 inches completly scratchbuilt new pattern.

OK, I am happy to say Mike S. has been way too busy poring molds of this sweet bird. There has been much sincere interest.
Mike said it would be OK for me to post some more pictures of this kit offering just in case any of you would like to see more. These posts are parallel to some posts I just made over on the RI board.

The first is a layout shot of all the New TOS Viper Kit components.

This isn't a review of this kit since I helped work on this too --I'm a bit biased. However this is the first time I got to see the entire kit first-hand and "in the flesh" so to speak.
All I can say is WOW! The details are so crisp and sharp!
Mike also did a great job of engineering this kit. The parts fit together very well; nice an snug where they should be.

My next impression was How big this sucker is!
Anyone who is familiar with Jesse's Viper kit will be similarly impressed. This "beastie" is about 10-15% bigger. I'm not "slighting" Jesse's Kit; it's excellant too... and has a direct lineage to the original Studio Miniature. I have a prime spot on my shelf proudly displaying his kit.
Jesse helped and collaborated on this version of the Colonial Viper too. Without his help we could never have produced this offering.

Here are some pics showing the fine details richly reproduced.

Plenty of room in the Engine Chambers to add Lighting effects.
Mike has also engineered the kit so you can emulate the all the mounting points of the original Studio Miniature if you so desire.

The optional After-Burner "Plates" can be cast in clear resin for Lighting effects if you request.

Here are some comparison Pictures to Jesse's Viper Kit for FYI.
Both are just loosely fit together. The newly mastered TOS Viper is in Grey the other in Off-White colored resin

You can see the difference from the "generational shrinkage"

If you are a big fan of the Colonial Viper, I recommend both kits; they make for beautiful subjects when Painted & Finished.

I hope you find these Pictures useful,

Let me say it was an honor to get to work with Mike & Jesse on this Kit. It ended up being a lot more work than we first expected; but it was well worth the effort.
I hope you guys are pleased with the results.

Thanks,
Mike R.

Got my Viper kit today - very nice. One question, though: where do those tiny tank-track looking parts go, and the two square pieces with the T-stock rails on them? They're shown 'loose' in greeble_gremlin's photos.

Tank treads go inside the intakes.

I'll be doing some instructions in a week or so, but for now the t-stock makes the canopy frame and the u channel will go between the middle section with the heavy greeblies and the engine tubes, they get cut into little squares that are approx 1.5 mm long and go in the transition between the 2 sections, again i will have some instructions ready for this in a couple of weeks.
thanks
mike

Mike, I got the kits - viper & raider yesterday. Only a word - PERFECT can be used to describe them.
I really enjoy the pleasure of getting and building them. (y)thumbsup

Id work

I think I stumbled upon the parts used in the engine housing that resemble a figure 8 they very possibly could be the end connectores from the old tamiya 1/16 shaerman tank the tread connectors I am looking for a clear picture
