I got some nice blue velvet and some lights and finally started to photograph my prop replica collection properly.

First up are my Indy Props...

I have Donovan's Tablet, and Henry's framed photos also but they are in storage.

Sigh. I really need to figure out how to finish my 3D CAD models and build an Ark to make the collection complete...

I like how you've done the head pieces - one with the chain, the other with the ferrule (sic).

Also, where did you get the clear Sankara stones?

The beautiful part about the clear Sankara stones, is I can put lights in the openings underneath and inside them...

Here's the lineage on everything. Most of it is no longer available.

Of the "Raiders" stuff, the sand bag, Temple Map, Clipper Ticket, Army Intel Documents, Headpiece with Staff Mount, Necklace Chain and Tanis Map Room drawing are by Indy Magnoli. The guy's a one man prop house! The gold idol was a second run MK II.

The regular Headpiece was an Acme replica. The Ark Journal was by Wayne (the pages are not yet filled in though, I don't like my own handwriting) and that's a real, vintage Life Magazine I got on E-Bay.

Of the "Temple of Doom" stuff, the diamond, antidote, sack of coins, Sanskrit cloth and Sankara Stones were made by Indy Magnoli. The jade Nurhache urn was done by Azuma's cousin, and the light up stones were made by Aimee Reich.

Rounding out the "Last Crusade" artifacts, the Cross of Coronado was an Acme replica, and the rest were made by who else... Indy Magnoli! Except for the tablet tracing, although I could be wrong, I forgot if it was a Magnoli rubbing or not.

I've been collecting this stuff for 10 years, and acquired all of it between 2001-2003, except for the Nurhache Urn, which is the latest addition to the collection this past month.

That is a very nice collection and very well photographed. If you ever want to give some away to a good cause, I could give them a good home.

Great collection I love Indiana Jones props, you have displayed them really well.

Awesome collection, thank you for sharing almost one year ago!:lol

In all seriousness, necroposting is FINE in my book. All the "do a search" guys are usually the same guys that hate it when you revive a dead thread. GO FIGURE?!

Incredible Photography. Nice job with lightling.

Agreed!
I have been interested in purchasing a lighting kit for some time now just for photographic my collection. I have been using a red crushed velvet fabtric to photograph my props so far, but the blue you are using looks much better so I may have to invest in that as well.
Lets see more!! If you have a 3-point lighting setup, get fancy with it!

A VERY nice collection there mate. Some of your pieces real treasures indeed.

My only comment is that it all looks (well), too new! - but I know its just me being strange. :lol

Great shots and cheers for sharing!
